Parties, Ice Curling and Lunch Cruises Among Things to Do at EPT Prague
Table Of Contents
The 2024 PokerStars European Poker Tour Prague shuffled up and dealt for the first time this afternoon, with the first starting flight of the €1,100 Eureka Main Event kicking off inside King’s Casino Prague in the Hilton.
The festival, which runs until December 15, promises an action-packed schedule featuring the inaugural Live Spin & Go Championship. Still, there's plenty of excitement away from the tables should you need to take a break from the poker grind and experience some of the delights the City of Spires offers.
EPT Prague Activities
As always with EPT events, the PokerStars Live team has lined up a wide range of activities to add variety to your poker jaunts. And in a city as vibrant as Prague, there’s no shortage of attractions. Here’s a glimpse of what’s in store over the next 12 days:
Silver Pass Meet-Up & Welcome Drinks
For those who have navigated their way to Prague via Power Path with a Silver Pass, you're invited to the Silver Pass Meet-Up taking place at the Hop House Beer Garden. Along with some complimentary food and drinks, the Silver Pass Meet-Up gives you a chance to get to know the other Power Path winners. But that's not all. There's also a Gold Pass valued at $10,000 that can be won in an exclusive contest, so you don't want to miss out on this one if you own a Silver Pass.
After the Meet-Up serves its last round of canapés, the Hop House Beer Garden will then host the Welcome Drinks which is open to all players and their guests. More free food and drink will be dished out until 10:30 p.m.
Lunch River Cruise
- December 6 & 12 – 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Picture this: you're gliding along the Vltava River, the crisp winter air brushing your cheeks as bursts of sunshine light up the scenery.
If that sounds like your idea of bliss, don't miss the Lunch River Cruise, departing on December 6 and 12. Spend a leisurely late morning and early afternoon soaking in Prague’s iconic sights, including the stunning architecture of the Charles Bridge.
Better yet, the experience includes a delicious lunch and convenient transport to the starting point of the two-hour cruise.
Ice Curling
Did you know that Ice Hockey is the national sport of the Czech Republic?
So it's only fitting to get your feet on the ice for the highly entertaining Ice Curling activity that runs on December 7 and 14. This is only the second time that Ice Curling has made the PokerStars activity guide, with last year's first event being well-received by the players.
If you're unfamiliar with the sport, players form teams and take turns sliding their stones toward a target, knocking opponents' stones out of the way in the process.
It’s a highly entertaining game and a fantastic opportunity to mingle with PokerStars Ambassadors and fellow EPT attendees. Transport to and from the venue is provided. Food and drinks are also served.
Player Lounge and Players Party
Need a break from the tables? You’re in luck! The Players Lounge is open daily from 1 p.m. to 1 a.m., offering a relaxing retreat complete with drinks, snacks, and a Shisha lounge. It’s the ideal spot to unwind between tournaments or during breaks while enjoying the exceptional hospitality available.
Conveniently located near the food trucks, which operate daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., the Lounge sits just outside the main doors to the Hilton’s LL level—home to the tournament room.
The EPT Players Party is always one of the highlights of the EPT stops, and Prague is known for being one of the best. This year, The Cloud 9 Skybar at the Hilton Hotel will play host, and it is a great venue to see all of Prague from 40 metres in the sky.
Enjoy some food and even better, the drinks are free until midnight. But the party doesn't stop there as the DJ will be spinning tracks until much later.
