NAPT Women's Event

PokerStars listened to feedback from female poker players on how to draw women to the game, and now the poker site is responding.

The upcoming PokerStars North American Poker Tour (NAPT) Las Vegas festival will feature a $330 buy-in Women's Event on Nov. 5. Notably, the event has a $30,000 guaranteed prize pool attached.

Last year's NAPT Women's Event had a $360 price tag and drew 94 entrants for a prize pool of $28,200. That means PokerStars is expecting this year's event to be an even greater success.

The Women's Event will get underway at 12:30 p.m. local time on Nov. 5 and allows for unlimited reentry. The event will feature 30-minute levels and will see players starting with stacks of 30,000.

Poker content creator Abby Merk wrote on X that PokerStars brought a group of female poker players to brainstorm ways to make the NAPT Womens Event "bigger, better and safer."

"We leaned IN to pitch ideas to make this the best women’s event yet. you don’t want to miss this one," wrote Merk.

Play With Last Year's Winner Kyna England

When the NAPT made its long-awaited return last year, the Women's Event was among the festival's attractions. It drew the likes of Poker League of Nation’s Lena Evans, recent World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) Commerce winner Jessica Vierling and Women in Poker Hall of Famer JJ Liu.

Kyna England shipped the event for $7,520, a score that pushed her live earnings past seven figures. England, a former Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) Player of the Year and current co-host of the PokerNews Podcast, defeated her good friend Lindsey Kludt, another well-known grinder, during heads-up play.

England will be playing in an upcoming PokerNews Meet-Up Game at Resorts World Las Vegas to promote a $10,000 Gold Pass giveaway to NAPT Las Vegas.
