Get Ready for Some Fun in the Sun with PokerStars EPT Cyprus
With EPT Barcelona now in the rearview mirror, PokerStars is gearing up for the next chapter of the European Poker Tour. The upcoming stop sees the brand return to Cyprus for the second time, following last year’s highly successful debut event that was a huge hit with players.
The 2024 edition, which runs from October 9-20, promises to be just as spectacular. Set against the stunning backdrop of the five-star Merit Royal Diamond Hotel Casino & Spa, it's the ultimate destination for anyone seeking the excitement of a grand live poker holiday.
2024 EPT Cyprus Full Schedule
Of course, the centrepiece is the $5,300 Main Event, which was won by Gilles Simon last year. The Dutchman banked $1,042,000 up top after triumphing over 1,320 entry field and displayed how the poker dream is still alive as the inaugural Dare2Stream winner played online tournaments with just an average buy-in of $10 a few years prior.
This series' instalment of the Main Event begins on October 14 with Day 1A, with Day 1B taking place the following day. Day 2 shuffles up and deals on October 16, where registration remains open until cards are in the air. The field will then dwindle down until the last player is standing on October 20.
The $1,100 Eureka Main Event was a massive success, becoming the third-largest in Eureka history with 2,659 entries and a prize pool of $2,552,640. Expecting an even bigger turnout this year, PokerStars has increased the number of starting flights from four to six, a move sure to boost both the field size and payouts for the players.
In the high-stakes arena, the $50,000 Super High Roller stands out as the event with the highest buy-in. The schedule also features four $25K events and a $20K, along with several other tournaments offering buy-ins of $10,000 or more.
EPT Cyprus Activity Guide
When the cards aren't in the air, players can immerse themselves in various exciting activities designed to enhance their poker holiday experience. Kick off with the “Island Boat Tour,” a scenic getaway showcasing the beauty of Cyprus. Wine and cheese tastings at Gillham Vineyard provide a perfect afternoon delight, while adrenaline seekers can indulge in daily jet ski rides.
Evenings come alive with fun-filled events like the All-in Shoot Out and themed nights hosted by Phil Baker, featuring karaoke, poker darts, and even a night at the races. For those looking to unwind, the Players Party at Versace Gardens offers live music, great food, and an open bar.
