There was reason to be cheerful if you're a fan of several PokerStars Ambassadors, especially Spain's Ramon Colillas, who bagged the overall chip lead in the medium Main Event, with plenty of others making Day 2.

2024 SCOOP Main Event Summary
Over $10 million was guaranteed across the three events, with all but two breaking their guarantees with late registration still open until the start of Day 2. Here are the figures with just over eight hours of late registration remaining:
Event | Entries | Prizepool | Chip Leader |
---|---|---|---|
SCOOP 115-L $109 Main Event | 21,512 | $2,151,200 | manhhungctn (Vietnam) |
SCOOP 115-M $1,050 Main Event | 3,674 | $3,674,000 | Ramon "RamonColillas" Colillas (Andorra) |
SCOOP 115-H $10,300 Main Event | 483 | $5,000,000 | Samuel "€urop€an" Vousden (Finland) |
Veldhuis Bags Big in SCOOP 115-L $109 Main Event
Over 21,500 players entered the SCOOP-L Main Event, with fewer than 6,000 remaining. Players were allowed up to five re-entries in the tournament, with the prize pool broken with over 18 hours left of late registration!
First prize looks set to pay over $200,000, with overnight chip leader "manhhungctn" bagging over 22 starting stacks to lead the field.
Also bagging big? Lex "L. Veldhuis" Veldhuis who sits 162nd in chips with 261,285 in chips. The Dutchman is also still in contention in both the Medium and High buy-in Main Events — which one will he go deepest in?
Colillas Leads SCOOP 115-M $1,050 Main Event
If Veldhuis could manage 162nd in chips, then how about first? That's where Ramon Colillas finds himself after 17 levels on Day 1 of the SCOOP-M $1,050 Main Event.
Colillas bagged over 1.1 million in chips to lead the 1,254 survivors from a field of 3,674. Late registration is also still available, so there's still plenty of time to join the field ahead of Day 2. The field includes the likes of Christian "WATnlos" Rudolph, Tom "hitthehole" Middleton and Paul "_pauL€FauL_" Höfer who have all bagged top-50 stacks.
A whole host of PokerStars Ambassadors are still in contention, including Nicholas Walsh, Laurie Tournier, Alejandro "Papo MC" Lococo, Rafael Moraes, Sam Grafton and Marle Spragg.
However, there was less good news for Parker Talbot and Ben Spragg who both fell short of Day 2.
Hand Sits Top-10 in SCOOP 115-H $10,300 Main Event
It's the one everyone wants to win. The SCOOP-H Main Event got underway, welcoming a field of 483 players — just 17 off of the guarantee of $5,000,000 with late registration still open.
Leading the way is five-time SCOOP winner Samuel "€urop€an" Vousden who is one of four players over the two million chip mark. Second-in-chips Juanki "B4NKR0LL3R" Vecino is also a multiple SCOOP champion who won his third title earlier this year.
Also top 10 in chips is Fintan "easywithaces" Hand who is the best-placed of six PokerStars Ambassadors among the 165 survivors ahead of Day 2.
The other five are: Lex Veldhuis, Sam Grafton, Ramon Colillas, Rafael Moraes and Alejandro "Papo MC" Lococo.
