It seems like a lifetime ago that we watched Daniel Weinman defeat Steven Jones heads-up in the record-breaking 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event and become poker's world champion.
In reality, a little over 200 days have passed since that iconic moment, but 200 days is plenty long enough to sit around waiting for the 2024 WSOP schedule. Thankfully, the arduous wait is finally over, and PokerNews is delighted to unveil the full schedule for the 2024 WSOP in Las Vegas.

The Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas will be packed to the rafters from May 28 through July 17 as thousands of poker players descend on Las Vegas, sharing the common goal of returning home with a coveted gold bracelet and a suitcase stuffed with cash. Those players will have ample opportunities to realize those dreams because the 2024 WSOP schedule boasts a record number of bracelet-awarding events: 99 in total.
Numerous iconic tournaments return for the 2024 WSOP, including the $10,000 Main Event, $50,000 Poker Players Championship, and $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. Championship, but several other events make their debut during the 2024 World Series of Poker, not least the inaugural $600 PokerNews Deepstack Championship No-Limit Hold'em event! That's correct; players have the opportunity to win one of poker's most sought-after prizes, a WSOP bracelet, in a PokerNews-branded event!
2024 World Series of Poker Full Schedule
Setting Up for a Record-Breaking WSOP
While it might seem tough to top last year's festivities, the 55th annual WSOP just might do it. Not only does the 2024 schedule include four more events than in 2023, there could be some records broken this summer.
"We’re proud to be Las Vegas’s original Main Event,” said Ty Stewart, SVP & Executive Director of the WSOP. “Records are made to be broken, so our motto this year is bigger and better. With our best schedule ever and more than 100 additional poker tables, we look forward to welcoming legends, first-timers and everyone in between. If you’re a poker player, there is simply no experience on earth like the World Series of Poker."
To accommodate demand, there will be 700 poker tables available between the three main tournament rooms in Horseshoe and Paris, the most ever at the WSOP.
The PokerNews Deepstack Championship No-Limit Hold'em Event Debuts at the 2024 WSOP
The $600 PokerNews Deepstack Championship No-Limit Hold'em tournament is the 62nd scheduled event at the 2024 WSOP, taking place from June 25 and crowning its worthy champion four days later. If last year's equivalent is anything to go by, the inaugural PokerNews Deepstack Championship No-Limit Hold'em event will be nothing short of spectacular.
At the 2023 WSOP, some 4,303 entrants created a $2,194,530 prize pool. Everyone who reached the final table turned their $600 investment into at least $25,270. Canada's David Guay was the player that climbed to the top of the pile and became a WSOP champion. His reward? $270,972, a gold WSOP bracelet, and his name etched into the illustrious WSOP record books.
Get Involved in the PokerNews Daily Deepstacks Challenge
There is every chance that the PokerNews Deepstack Championship No-Limit Hold'em event will obliterate last year's turnout, thanks, in part, to the launch of the PokerNews Daily Deepstacks Challenge.
The $200, $250, and $400 Daily Deepstacks are back by popular demand, except there is a significant twist for 2024. From May 28 through June 24, the WSOP Daily Deepstacks will have a leaderboard that awards, you guessed it, $600 tickets to the PokerNews Deepstack Championship event!
Come the final day of the PokerNews promotional period, on June 24, every player who finishes in the top 10 points of the weekly leaderboards will capture a complimentary seat to the PokerNews-sponsored bracelet event; that's 40x $600 seats being given away!

Early 2024 WSOP Highlights
The 2024 WSOP is going to start off a bit differently than in the past. On May 28 at 12:00 p.m. Event #1: $5,000 Champions Reunion No-Limit Hold'em Freezeout will get the party started. This new and unique gold bracelet event offers a $10,000 Main Event seat bounty to players who knock out past world champions.
At 2:00 p.m. on the same day, the $500 Casino Employees No-Limit Hold'em tournament, normally the opening event, begins. On the following day, Event #3: $500 WSOP Kickoff No-Limit Hold'em Freezeout should attract a large field. Other early series events of note include:
- May 30 — Event #5: 1,000 Mystery Millions ($1 million top bounty and $1 million guaranteed to first place)
- May 30 — Event# 6: $25,000 Heads-Up No-Limit Hold'em Championship
- May 31 — Event #8: $5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha (8-Handed)
- June 2 — Event #11: $1,500 Badugi
2024 WSOP Main Event Details
Every tournament is big at the World Series of Poker, but none more so than the Main Event. This year's world championship of poker, $10,000 to enter, begins July 3 with Day 1a, the first of four Day 1 starting flights.
Last year, the tournament broke a 54-year record with 10,043 entrants, smashing the previous record in 2006 (8,773). Daniel Weinman, a talented poker player from Atlanta, won it for $12.1 million, also a Main Event record.
Surpassing the 2023 attendance will be no easy task, but it certainly won't be impossible. The 2024 WSOP Main Event runs from July 3-17, with two days planned for final table play.

2024 WSOP Main Event Satellites
One of the key contributors to last year's Main Event success was the plethora of satellite tournaments offered around the world, both online and live. Your local casino just might offer monthly or weekly satellites into the Main Event. If not, there are plenty of other options at your disposal, starting with GGPoker, which is set to again offer numerous satellites.
Last year, GGPoker sent 774 players to Las Vegas via qualifying events. Daniel Negreanu, the poker site's top ambassador, anticipates 1,000 players on GGPoker to win a trip to compete in poker's most prestigious annual event.
In certain US states, including Nevada, WSOP.com will offer online satellites into the live Main Event. Across participating partner casino resorts around the world, the WSOP will host a Main Event Maynia promotion this spring to qualify many players to compete in the biggest event of the year. From July 2-7, Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas will also run various Main Event satellites.
Intriguing New 2024 WSOP Events
As Gus Hansen once proclaimed, "It's going to be a great summer," and that is true partially due to some of the unique new events on the schedule. Not only will PokerNews host its first bracelet event, there's going to be a different kind of Mystery Bounty event than we've ever seen at the World Series of Poker, and that is Event #86: $1,000 Mystery Bounty Pot-Limit Omaha starting July 9, and every player is a bounty once in the money.
On June 26, the seniors will have something new to look for in the way of Event #65: $5,000 Seniors High Roller No-Limit Hold'em. July 3 is the start of the first ever $800 Independence Day Celebration No-Limit Hold'em (Event #80), a tribute to the series host country. Event #89: $3,000 Mid-Stakes Championship No-Limit Hold'em on July 11 is another first-of-its-kind at the WSOP.
But perhaps the most action-packed and unique tournament of the summer features bomb pots will start on June 15 — Event #41: $1,500 Mixed No-Limit Hold'em/Pot-Limit Omaha Double Board Bomb Pot.
There you have it, the official 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) schedule in all of its glory. PokerNews cannot wait to bring you coverage from Las Vegas, including live updates, exclusive interviews, and award-nominated photographs throughout the 2024 WSOP (especially from the $600 PokerNews Deepstack Championship!)
