Popular rapper Hoodie Allen, who abandoned his stack on Day 2abc to fly across the country for his friend’s wedding, returned to Las Vegas on Sunday for Day 3 of the 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event, and abruptly busted minutes later when his pocket aces were cracked.

Allen, whose real name is Steven Markowitz, had the attention of the poker community, with many wondering whether he would make it back in time when play resumed.

Timeline of Events

Markowitz left Day 2abc of the Main Event during the last level of the session to catch a late-night flight to New York to attend a friend's wedding.

He made it in time for the celebrations. Now, the only thing left for him to do was to return to Sin City in time for Day 3 of the Main Event.

However, things weren't as straightforward as originally planned. The rapper found his flight had a long delay which would leave things down to the wire.

Markowitz was able to overcome the obstacle and wrote, "As I was pulling up to the airport, my flight got delayed 3.5 hours. I snapped found and booked the last seat on another flight to get us back to @WSOP on time."

The story must continue on to day 3"

Markowitz, who has collaborated with the likes of Ed Sheeran and Chance the Rapper, made it to the Horseshoe, Las Vegas in time for the shuffle up and deal announcement.

On his fourth hand of play, the music star was all in and at risk with AA. His opponent had AK for Markowitz to be the huge favorite to win the hand.

Following a cruel runout, his pocket rockets ended up being the second-best hand as his eliminator made a straight on the J3Q210 board.

Perhaps he would have been better off sticking with his original flight plans.
