"bckdrboogie" Scores WSOP Gold In Event #13: $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em ($69,740)

On Sunday night, the 2022 World Series of Poker Online Event #13: $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em attracted 231 players who rebought 134 times. The 365-entry field generated a $328,500 prize pool, and after just over nine hours of play, it was "bckdrboogie" coming out on top to win a $69,740 first-place prize and the WSOP gold bracelet.

Not much is known about "bckdrboogie" but they came into the final table in fourth place in chips and maneuvered their way up the leaderboard to eventually close it out heads-up against Mark "Nostradonkus" Liedtke.

Many notables joined the field throughout the day and some of the players to make a deep run but not reach the final table included Andrew "WATCHGUY42" Lichtenberger (30th - $3,153), Michael "BrockLesnar" Holtz (22nd - $3,186) and WSOP bracelet winner Ryan "Protential" Laplante (19th - $3,186).

Final Table Action

The eight-handed official final table got off to a hot start when Dan "Feeltheflow" Sindelar turned a set of kings but ran into the nut-straight for "bckdrboogie" and was eliminated in eighth place.

A few hands later Desmond "Deezz_Nutzz" Haynes moved all in from the button with king-three but was called by the ace-six for Benjamin "chaipoker" Abrahams and when the board ran out ace-high Haynes was eliminated in seventh place.

A short while later Andrew "DrDisRespect" Dean moved all in, covering the table, and Anthony "Venus" Hu made the call with ace-king but was eliminated in sixth when the jack-nine for Dean made a straight on the river.

Next to go was Abrahams when he called the shove of Dean with king-nine but was outdrawn by jack-three and exited in fifth place. Four-handed play took some time before Mitchell "franzia" Halverson moved all in with pocket fours and was called by the king-queen of Dean. The board brought a king it was the end of the road for Halverson as he was eliminated in fourth place.

Three-handed was a lengthy battle but as stacks started to shift Dean found himself all in with pocket nines and up against the ace-queen of "bckdrboogie". The board ran out with a queen and Dean was eliminated in third place.

Heads-up play started with "bckdrboogie" having a 7-1 chip lead against Liedtke and it didn't take long for the stacks to get in the middle. Liedtke picked up pocket aces and moved all in on a flop that gave "bckdrboogie" a straight draw with nine-eight. The river hit the six that "bckdrboogie" needed and Liedtke would have to settle for runner-up position. "bckdrboogie" scored the victory and WSOP gold.
