The penultimate day of the EPT Online festival was yet another action-packed spectacle with two PokerStars-players being crowned champions and the massive Main Event reaching the final table.
What a final table that is, too. It’s crammed with stellar names, each guaranteed almost $80,000 for their efforts so far and each being only eight eliminations from walking away with a prestigious title and more than $1 million in prize money.

Adams, Yan, and Van Fleet Reach Main Event Final Table
Seventy-two players returned to the Main Event action on November 17 and only nine of them are still in contention to become the tournament’s champion.
There was a steady stream of eliminations throughout the evening, each captured by the PokerNews Live Reporting team. It was the end of the road for the likes of Simon “C. Darwin2” Mattsson and PokerStars ambassador Ramon “RamonCollias” Collias before the second break.
Other luminaries such as Antoine “A. Saout” Saout and start-of-the-day chip leader Toby “sadface11” Joyce crashed out, Joyce losing a coinflip with ace-king versus the pocket threes of Jon “apestyles” Van Fleet.
That elimination saw Van Fleet’s stack swell and he put his big stack to good use. "apestyles" then ran a huge bluff against “Ti0373” with 23 players remaining that could have resulted in a completely different story. The bluff was captured on Van Fleet’s Twitch stream.
Amazingly, “Ti0373” was also streaming and we caught a clip from his point of view. Check it out here.
As you can see, "Ti0373" laid down a set of sixes and had Van Fleet crushed. That lay down proved costly because the Russian fell in 23rd place shortly after another scheduled break.
More eliminations followed including those of Mustapha “lasagnaaammm” Kanit in 11th place and “PANIC.PLAYER” in 10th, the latter bringing the curtain down on proceedings and setting the final table.
EPT Online Main Event Final Table Chip Counts
Position | Player | Country | Chip Count | Big Blinds |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | tikidiii | Finland | 60,602,479 | 101 |
2 | WhatIfGod | Sweden | 59,560,859 | 99 |
3 | Viacheslav "VbV1990" Buldygin | Russia | 54,038,702 | 90 |
4 | Timothy "Tim0thee" Adams | Canada | 49,203,980 | 82 |
5 | Andreas "daskalos20" Christoforou | Cyprus | 26,582,982 | 44 |

8 | Enio "Bozzano JNR" Bozzano | Brazil | 16,577,500 | 28 |
9 | vip25459 | Kazakhstan | 13,772,912 | 23 |
Finland’s “tikidiii” is the player in pole position when the final table commences at 18:05 GMT on November 18. The Finn may have the advantage right now but there is some serious talent in the chasing pack.
Sweden’s “WhatIfGod” is only a handful of big blinds away from being the chip leader, while Viacheslav “VbV1990” Budygin has the experience and skills to become the EPT Online champion.
Timothy “Tim0thee” Adams also has a big stack. Adams is a super high roller specialist, one who regularly plays in $100,000 and $250,000 buy-in events so this should, in theory, be a walk in the part for the Canadian.
Then you have Andreas “daskalos20” Christiforou and David “MissOracle” Yan in the middle of the pack, before the bluff-loving Van Fleet sits back down seventh in chips with 35 big blinds.
Brazil’s Enio “Bozzano” Bozzano has 28 big blinds in his stack before Kazakhstan’s “vip25459” brings up the rear with 13 big blinds.

Dani “danipesis” Palau Triumphs in the $530 NLHE 8-Max for $71,852
Mexico’s Dani "danipesis" Palau became an EPT Online champion after triumphing in the 19th event on the schedule, the $530 NLHE 8-Max PKO tournament.
Exactly 1,000 players bought into this event and Palau outlasted each and every one of them. Some 120 of those players made it through to Day 2 and only 119 were paid. Jans “Graftekkel” Arends was the player who burst the money bubble which is never a pleasurable experience.
Plenty of big names got their hands on some of the main prize pool money. These included Bert “girafganger7” Stevens, Daan “DaanOss” Mulders, Philipp “philbort” Gruissem, and friend of PokerStars Arlie “Prince Pablo” Shaban.
Marc “FrenchDawg” Ladouceur was one of the players to reach the nine-handed final table, but he couldn’t get out of first gear and had to make do with a ninth-place finish.
There was a steady stream of eliminations, many caused by Palau who ran well and played even better.
He sent Ognyan “cocojamb0” Dimov home in fourth, “Gamblint_13” to the showers in third, and his pocket queens beat the ace-ten of “wimmaz” the Mexican became a worth champion.

Relive the excitement from EPT Online 19: $530 NLHE [8-Max]
Damian “pampa27” Salas Secures $1,050 NLHE Last Chance Title
The final event on the EPT Online schedule was aptly named the Last Chance and Damian “pampa27” Salas grabbed the final chance for glory with both hands.
Some 475 players bought in for $1,050 and re-entered 203 times between them for a combined total of 678 entries. This created a $678,000 prize pool with almost $120,000 up top.
Dozens of the world’s best players looked forward to padding their bankrolls with a six-figure prize but ultimately fell by the wayside. Dominik “Bounatirou” Nitsche and Mikita “fish2013” Badziakouski were just two high profile players who failed in their quest for victory.
It was a similar story for the likes of Steve “Mr. Tim Caum” O’Dwyer, Adrian “Amadi_017” Mateos and David “dpeters17” Peters.
Guillaume “Nolet20” Nolet popped the money bubble, which opened the floodgates and saw players busting left, right, and centre. Sam “aaajack” Chartier fell in 10th place to set the final table.
Salas started the finale seventh in chips and it initially looked like Phillipe “takechip” D’Auteuil was going to walk away with things as he busted the first handful of players, including Artur “mararthur1” Martirosian.
The eventual champion eventually found his feet and began building his stack. A massive hand saw Salas double through D’Auteuil with ace-king versus ace-six and Salas never looked back.
It wasn’t surprising to find D’Auteuil was Salas’ final opponent. Salas held a commanding lead but D’Auteuil clawed his way level. The comeback was short-lived, however, as D’Auteuil committed his stack with a pair of red sixes and lost to Salas’ superior red jacks. Game over for D’Auteuil and most certainly game on for Salas.
