SCOOP Main Events in the Spotlight

May 17 is a massive day for online poker, especially at PokerStars where not one, not two, but SIX Spring Championship Of Online Poker (SCOOP) Main Events shuffle up and deal.

Three of these SCOOP Main Events are played as No-Limit Hold’em, the remaining three arr Pot-Limit Omaha. Buy-ins range from $109 to a hefty $10,300 and their combined guarantees weigh in at an incredible $16 million!

SCOOP No Limit Hold’em Main Events

All three NLHE Main Events shuffle up and deal at the same time of 1:00 p.m. ET (7:00 p.m. CET) and are all played over the course of four days. PokerStars has increased the length of these tournaments in anticipation of how massive they’re going to be.

The $109 buy-in SCOOP NLHE Main Event has a huge $3.5 million guaranteed prize pool. Everyone sits down with 25,000 chips and plays to a 20-minute clock that starts at 50/100/12a. Three re-entries are permitted during the late registration period, that ends 24-hours after the tournament begins.

It’s a similar story in the $1,050 buy-in edition, although there’s $5 million guaranteed! Players kick off their quest for glory with 100,000 chips and play to blinds starting at 200/400/50a. Blinds increase every 25-minutes and three re-entries are permitted.

The $10,300 High NLHE SCOOP Main Event ($5 million guaranteed) has a starting stack of 250,000, a 30-minute clock and blinds starting at 500/1,000/125a.
