2020 SCOOP Extended

Poker tournament players around the world are rejoicing after hearing the news PokerStars is extending the 2020 Spring Championship Of Online Poker (SCOOP) until May 31.

PokerStars had already boosted some SCOOP events’ guarantees, taking the total from $85 million to $95 million. This extension of the series means at least $135 million will be won by the time the final event crowns its champion on May 31.

The original schedule continues as planned, including this Sunday’s Main Events. Three No-Limit Hold’em Main Events and a trio of Pot-Limit Omaha Main Events run at 7:00 p.m. CET and 9:30 p.m. CET on May 17. These have buy-ins of $109, $1,050, and $10,300 and guarantees of up to $5 million.

SCOOP was meant to conclude on May 20 but the new end date is May 31. An additional 132 tournaments are now loaded into the PokerStars lobby, including seven new events with guarantees of at least $1 million.

$1 Million Or More Guaranteed New SCOOP Events

There are now even more chances to win astronomical sums of money with seven new events featuring seven-figure prize pools. Two of those events really stand out from the crowd as they make it possible for players to turn a reasonable buy-in into a huge score.

$1 million is guaranteed in the SCOOP-96-L: $55 NLHE 8-Max 2nd Chance Main Event despite the tournament only costing $55 to enter.

Towards the end of SCOOP, on May 31, there’s a $109 buy-in special edition of the Sunday Million. This has $2.5 million guaranteed and is played as a PKO event.

As always, PokerStars is running hundreds of satellites into these massive SCOOP events.
