Table Of Contents
Chris Moneymaker is credited for the online poker boom in 2003 by winning the World Series of Poker Main Event after qualifying online. The PokerStars Team Pro is still popular more than 16 years later and is now hosting the Moneymaker’s Road to PSPC festivals. Players participating will not only be playing for big sums of money, but the winner will also walk away with a 2020 Platinum Pass.
Each Platinum Pass is valued at approximately €26,000 ($30,000) and includes a seat to the 2020 PokerStars Players NL Hold'em Championship (PSPC) worth €22,500 on Aug. 20-24, 2020 in Barcelona.
Win a Platinum Pass in London on Oct. 24-27
PokerNews will be covering the next six stops of the Moneymaker's Road to the PSPC. We start at Le Meridien, Piccadilly, in the heart of London's West End, from Oct. 24-27, 2019, in conjunction with The Hippodrome Casino.
The festival hosted by Moneymaker himself features three tournaments highlighted by the £140 NLH Moneymaker’s Road to PSPC. The tournament is a deep-stacked affair with players starting with 30,000 in chips and blinds increasing every 30 minutes on each of the four opening flights on Oct. 24-27.
Players can reenter once during each of the opening flights during the six-level late-registration window, provided there is space available.
Each opening flight plays down to just 15% of the field, at which point all players bagging chips will already be in the money. The surviving players will battle it out for two more days on Oct. 26-27, where the winner will not only walk away with the lion's share of the prize pool and the trophy but also a coveted Platinum Pass.
Players interested in playing are advised to register in advance at the PokerStars Live Poker Room at The Hippodrome Casino.
Side Events
The festival will also feature two side events:
- £275 NLH The MINI Series on Oct. 26-27
- £220 PLO Double Chance on Oct. 27
Besides, cash games will be running around the clock on demand at the PokerStars Live Poker Room at The Hippodrome Casino.
