On Monday, the 2019 Spring Championship of Online Poker on PokerStars continued with the ninth day of the series. One of the events that played down to a winner was the SCOOP 32-M: $530 NLHE [8-Max, Sunday Million SE] with a guaranteed prize pool of $1,250,000. In total, 3,008 players competed in the event but just 138 came back for Day 2.

Joris Ruijs, playing under his nickname "BillLewinsky", was one of the remaining players and he came back third in chips. Several hours into the second day, the official final table was reached after Orpen "OrpTheTurk" Kisacikoglu was eliminated in ninth place cashing for $14,476. All remaining players were guaranteed at least $20,307 while chasing the first-place prize of $217,140. Ivan "Negriin" Luca finished in eighth place for $20,307 and after his elimination, Ruijs tweeted that he needed to do some closing with his chip lead and seven players left:

Ruijs, who is noted as probably the best tournament player from the Netherlands, kept his lead while players like "alexos888" (7th - $28,488), "mikimiki88" (6th - $39,965), "Dancer King" (5th - $56,065) and "tomnelz1" (4th - $78,650) were eliminated. The final three players were all guaranteed a six-figure score, cashing at least $110,334. That prize went to third-place finisher "Premove" from Russia, who missed out on the final heads-up.

After the elimination of the Russian player, Ruijs defeated his opponent "Zurgok" from the United Kingdom. He secured himself the SCOOP title and his biggest online cash of his career, $217,140. The British runner-up had to settle for $154,783. Just one hour before his victory, "BillLewinsky" finished in second place in the High Roller Club: $1,050 Daily Warm-Up [8-Max] for $23,968. Not a bad day at the office for the Dutchman.
