Andras Nemeth Wins SCOOP High Roller, Blom 8th, Schemion 5th
Hungary's Andras "probirs" Nemeth outlasted a star-studded field of 100 entrants to ship the SCOOP-14-H: $25,000 NLHE [8-Max, High Roller], $2,500,000 Gtd at PokerStars for $576,087 to win the biggest single prize thus far in the 2018 Spring Championship of Online Poker.
With the victory, Nemeth now has three SCOOP titles under his belt. His past victories took place in 2015 when he won the SCOOP-09-M: $109 NL Hold'em, $300K Gtd for $93,064 and in 2017 when he won the SCOOP-34-H: $2,100 NLHE [4-Max], $500K Gtd - Mulligan Event for $170,835.
Nemeth is one of the most successful tournament players ever to play online. He now has almost $8.3 in online tournament cashes according to PocketFives.com where he is currently ranked third in the worldwide rankings. In addition, he has almost $1 million in live tournament cashes according to The Hendon Mob.

According to the PokerStars Blog, Nemeth entered the second and final day with the chip lead among the 13 hopefuls battling it out. By the time the nine-max final table began, Sweden's Viktor "Isildur1" Blom inched his way into the lead with Nemeth and Mike "SirWatts" Watson just a handful of chips behind.
Nemeth soon got the lead back and was responsible for eliminating the first three opponents. After Nemeth eliminated "limitless" in ninth place for $75,767, he then called an ace-high shove by Blom with two pair to eliminate the Swede in eighth place for $90,951.
"ROFLshove" three-bet shoved ace-king and Nemeth called with pocket fours. The board was unable to help "ROFLshove" win the flip and he was ousted in seventh place for $117,993. After the elimination, Nemeth had 60 percent of the chips in play and never looked back.
Mike "SirWatts" Watson hit the rail in sixth place for $153,684 on a bad beat. Ole "wizowizo" Schemion shoved with ace-eight suited and Watson called with ace-queen. Two eights hit the board to end Watson's tournament run.
Schemion proceded to bleed chips and called off his six remaining big blinds with ace-jack suited against the pocket sixes held by Roman "RomeOpro" Romanovsky, who already has won two SCOOP titles this festival. Schemion lost the flip and hit the showers in fifth place for $200,171.
Nemeth was back on the warpath once again. Rui "RuiNF" Ferreira jammed eight big blinds with seven-six suited and Nemeth won the hand to eliminate his foe in fourth place for $260,719 after he called with king-deuce suited.
Next to go was "huang33" in third place for $339,582 after he three-bet shoved with ace-five suited and couldn't hold against the king-queen held by Romanovsky.
Nemeth entered heads-up play with a near 4:1 chip advantage over Romanovsky. Romanovsky narrowed the gap some before Nemeth swung the pendulum back his way to gain a more than 9:1 chip advantage.
After nearly an hour of heads-up play, Nemeth jammed with ace-five suited and Romanovsky called off his remaining 12 big blinds with ace-six. A five spiked the flop and Romanovsky's hopes for a third SCOOP title this festival were dashed when he was unable to get help on the turn or river. Instead, Romanovsky walked away with his biggest online tournament prize to date after collecting the runner-up prize of $442,299.
