Schedule Highlights
PokerNews is reporting on the €800 buy-in Wonder 8 Main Event, which looks set to be huge if previous years’ tournaments are anything to go by. In 2017, the Wonder 8 Main Event took place at Cercle Clichy Montmarte in Paris and attracted 478-entrants who were all outlasted by an anonymous Algerian player who returned home with €56,500.
Last year, the Wonder 8 Main Event took place at the same venue and saw 461 player create a €331,920 prize pool. The lion’s share, €65,000, went to France’s Souhayl Fjer who defeated Jerome Mairesse heads up for the title.
The Wonder 8 Main Event in Marrakech features a single starting flight where re-entries are available until the end of the ninth 45-minute level. Each player starts with 45,000 chips, giving plenty of room to maneuver.
Should you bust out of the Main Event earlier than planned, or perhaps want to play in more than the Main Event, there is a wide selection of satellite and side events to get involved with, the highlight being the €1,350 buy-in Wonder 8 High Roller that is sure to attract plenty of high-stakes specialists and well-bankrolled high rollers.
