partypoker LIVE World Cup of Cards

The Playground Poker Club, Canada’s premier casino, is to host the partypoker LIVE World Cup of Cards from Jan. 20 through to Feb. 6 where $1,926,000 is guaranteed to be won across 29 scheduled events.

All monetary values displayed are Canadian Dollars

Buy-ins range from $110 up to $1,650 and there are a whole host of different formats for players to get involved in, from the Tag Team event to Deepstack Turbos, Bounty tournaments, satellites, shootouts, a women’s event, pot-limit Omaha and PLO8 events.

The first tournament with a massive guarantee is the $500,000 guaranteed Grand Prix Canada that only costs $220 to enter. Grand Prix Canada features four online Day 1s, hosted at partypoker, and 10 live starting flights held at the Playground Poker Club. Previou8s editions of Grand Prix Canada have smashed their guarantees and this event should be no different.

It is the WPTDeepStacks event that boasts the largest guarantee. For a $1,650 buy-in, players have the chance to win a share of a $750,000 guaranteed prize pool. WPTDeepStacks runs from Feb. 1-Feb. 5 and has 37 seats guaranteed across seven satellites running Jan. 23-Feb. 1.

Another big guarantee has been placed on the CPPT event, a $1,100 buy-in tournament with $250,000 guaranteed. Both starting flights take place on Feb. 4 with the champion being crowned on Feb. 5.
