Hungarian superstars Andras “probirs” Nemeth (lead photo) triumphed in not one but two Sunday majors on Nov. 4, taking down high roller events held online at partpoker and PokerStars for a combined score of almost $105,000! Nemeth now has online winnings in excess of $9.2 million as a result.

Not to be outshone, Niklas Astedt also banked two victories, one at partypoker and the other across at 888poker! Let’s find out more.

Nemeth’s first victory of the night came in the partypoker Sunday Super High Roller: $200K Gtd that saw 80 entries processed and the $200,000 guarantee hit. This prize money was shared among the top 10 finishers, with Sami “LarsLuzak1” Kelopuro bursting the bubble and Team partypoker’s Patrick “Patrick_Leonard” Leonard popping the final table bubble.

“Orud76” busted in eighth-place and collected $8,500 before Swedish star Nilkas “Drulitooo” Astedt lost his stack and fell in seventh-place for a $9,500 score. Sam “DeanMalenko” Greenwood then crashed out in sixth-place for $11,000, the first five-figure score of the tournament, followed by “Ignent”, “KONY2012” and the player known as “Dextered”.

This left Nemeth and British youngster Conor “ADRIEN_BRODY” Beresford to battle heads-up for the title. A $16,000 pay difference between first and second-place didn’t faze either player and no deal was made. This meant when Nemeth emerged victorious he banked $57,000 while Beresford netted the $39,000 consolation prize.

The second high roller victory for Nemeth came in the PokerStars $2,100 Sunday High Roller where the $100,000 guarantee was smashed by $100,000 after 100 players bought in.

One of those players was Steve “Mr.Tim Caum” O’Dwyer who was the unfortunate soul to burst the money bubble, falling in 14th place for no return on his $2,100 investment. O’Dwyer’s exit meant the surviving 13 players were guaranteed at least $5,000 for their effort.

This sum increased slightly to $5,819 by the time the final table was set and this is the sum Austria’s “mikki696” walked away with after they busted in ninth-place. Another talented Austrian in the shape of Thomas “WushuTM” Muhlocker headed for the rail in eighth-place and Damian “pampa27” Salas exited in seventh-place for $8,942; Salas finished seventh in this very tournament last week.

The final six players read like a who’s who of poker. Connor “blanconegro” Drinan was the next player to fall and he was joined on the sidelines by Russian duo “Futti18” and “hello_totti” before UK-based Polish pro “bartek901” dusted off their stack in third-place for $27,184.

Finland’s “elmerixx” and Nemeth locked horns heads-up for the $47,398 top prize, which is now nestled in Nemeth’s PokerStars account after he defeated his talented Finnish opponent, resigning elmerixx to the $35,895 runner-up prize.

The biggest win of the weekend went to UK-based Greek star “vasilikos7” courtesy of taking down the PokerStars Sunday Million without the need to deal, meaning the first-place prize weighed in at a colossal $157,025.

Poland’s Manuel “fellatiado” Ruivo was vasilikos7’s heads-up opponent and was the only other player to lock up a six-figure score when he busted in second-place. The runner-up in this weekend’s Sunday Million walked away with a still impressive $110,192 addition to their bankroll.

Earlier at the final table, two Brits fell in ninth and sixth-place, namely “TheMottoYOLO” and Ross “RLOG” Loggie. They collected $9,236 and $26,725 respectively.

All but ninth-place secured five-figures for their deep run in the Sunday Million. “TrAnEcld” of Belgium was the eighth-place finisher for $13,162 and Austria’s “Matze 90451” netted $18,755 for their seventh-place finish.

“TimThompson” of Canada exited in fourth-spot for $54,267 with Ireland’s “TightAsULike” being the final table’s penultimate casualty, their third-place finish banking them $77,329.

Sweden’s Niklas “Drulitooo” Astedt took down yet another big online tournament when he outlasted 207 opponents in the partypoker Sunday Main Event High Roller: $100K Gtd event.

Nemeth was at this final table too, but he fell in eighth-place for $4,784.

Regulars at partypoker “MoNddLeR” and “ABOUDIABY2” were the next players to lose their stack before Steve “eet_smakelijk” O’Dwyer joined them on the rail having busted in fifth-place for a $11,440 bankroll boost.

The next two finishing places were taken up by “GewoonBoef” and “TullaMoreFan12”, the latter falling by the wayside in third-place for $21,944 and setting up an exciting one-on-one battle between Astedt and Mateusz “GreenNaugahyde” Szymanski.

It was a fight that would be settled with a chop for the remaining prize pool, Szymanski taking home $36,566 and Astedt claiming $36,628.

Niklas “tutten7” Astedt claimed his second big win of the night by triumphing in the 888poker $100,000 Sunday Mega Deep for a $20,867 score. Astedt was joined at the eight-handed final table by a pair of his fellow Swedes. Andreas “r4andomr4gs” Berggen fell in eighth-place for $2,439 with “Madeon1994” busting in third-place for $11,653.

Astedt found himself heads-up against a formidable opponent in the United Kingdom’s Paul “Senta99” Senter but the Swede bulldozed his way to victory and claimed the $20,867 top prize for himself, resigning Senter to $15,447.

Astedt is currently ranked first in the world for online poker tournaments, according to PocketFives, and has more than $12.6 million in cashes. This latest haul pushes his 888poker winnings over the $600,000 barrier, most impressive indeed.

This week’s 888poker $50,000 Whale surpassed its guarantee by $15,000 and Malta’s “Farrugia_1” took full advantage, navigating their way through 64 opponents to turn $1,050 into $24,050.
