The PokerStars Bounty Builder Series 68: $2,100 NLHE 8-Max High Roller saw its guarantee surpassed by almost double after 457 players turned out and created a $914,000 prize pool.

This progressive knockout tournament saw some massive bounty prizes awarded at the eight-handed final table, bounties that resulted in “wvpoker”, the eighth-place finisher, walking away with a bigger prize than “blackaces93” who busted in fifth-place.

wvpoker banked $10,265 for their eighth-place finish and an additional $19,687 worth of bounties. Fifth-place finisher blackaces93, who won the Sunday Million in July, netted a total of $29,890.

Those bounty payments continued to grow, but nobody got their hands on more than Argentina’s “patasss” who was the last player standing. After defeating Joao “Joao Valli” Valli heads-up, patasss scooped their own bounty and added $63,632 to the $81,194 top prize, for a combined score of some $145,546. Valli claimed a total of $87,727 for his runner-up finish.

Shout out also to Oliver “sk2ll_m0dR” Weis who finished in third-place for $45,253 plus $15,203 from the bounty prize pool.

Another huge Sunday Million created two six-figure scores. A prize pool of $1,073,800 was created when 5,369 entries were processed; $145,086 was reserved for the eventual champion.

The final table was an international affair with eight countries represented across the nine seats. Russia’s “Sergey260594” was the first casualty of the final table, their ninth-place finish was worth $8,543.

“D.END.49” was the first player to net five-figures, namely $12,161 for their eighth-place finish and after “folkevogn”, “Turbo565” and “glissario” all busted, leaving four players at the table, a prize of at least $50,141 was guaranteed.

This sum was awarded to Germany’s “Flush098765” who crashed out in fourth with their fellow German “SmilleThHero” falling in third-place for $71,450. This exit left Swedish star Christian “eisenhower1” Jeppsson and Brazil’s Warley “WarleyBruno” Bruno Galvao to lock horns heads-up for the title.

Jeppsson is vastly experienced in online poker circles but he couldn’t quite get the job done this time around and had to make do with the $101,814 consolation prize. This meant Galvao secured the $145,086 top prize, smashing his previous best online score, which stood at $13,264, by more than 10 times; what a result for the Brazilian.

“MAAAMANNN” turned $1,050 into $51,586 by outlasting 252 opponents in the partypoker Sunday Main Event High Roller.

Elio “donzledubru” Fox busted from the eight-handed final table in eighth-place for a $5,819 score with “VolZoK_” exiting in seventh-place for $7,843, the last player not to walk away with five-figures.

“OXOXOXO” then busted in sixth-place for $10,626 and was followed to the sidelines by “skitzo793” and “BITMEXREKT” in fourth-place, a finish worth $19,734.

Hungarian star Andras “probirs” Nemeth, who won a POWERFEST $1 million guaranteed Championship Event in Sept, busted in third for a $26,691 addition to his bankroll. It is a result that pushed Nemeth ever closer to $9.2 million in online poker tournament winnings.

Nemeth’s exit left “MoNddLeR” and MAAAMANNN to battle it out one-on-one for the title and the lion’s share of the prize pool. It was a battle the latter would ultimately win; $51,586 was their prize. MoNddLeR netted $37,444 for their runner-up finish.

888poker launched its progressive knockout tournaments this weekend under the guise of the God of the Arena series, which culminated in a $320 buy-in event with a $100,000 guarantee. The guarantee was easily surpassed when 394 players took to the felt.

It was a one-two for the United Kingdom. “Easylimp888” claimed the lion’s share of the prize pool, a total of $21,558 made up of $11,524 in prize money and $10,034 worth of bounties. Easylimp888 defeated Charlie “chazcombes” Combes heads-up to secure the title, leaving Combes with a combined prize of $12,430 to soften the blow of not winning.

The eight-handed final table saw Simon “Isildur1337x” Mattsson crash out in eighth-place for a combined $2,902 with German grinder “allesrigged” taking home a total of $5,514 for their fifth-place finish, $600 more than “ARE_U_SHURR”, also of Germany, netted for fourth-place.

Former WPT Prague champion Andrey “ifearpanic” Pateychuk showed he can still do it in the online poker world when he topped a field of 529 players in the 888poker $100,000 Sunday Mega Deep.

The tournament had been struggling to hit its guarantee lately but it was beaten by $5,800 this week and Pateychuk took full advantage of the juicy prize pool playing his way to a $20,366 score.

Pateychuk defeated Argentina’s “SHIGAON770” heads-up to take down the tournament; the Argentinian netted $15,076.

Another South American, Uruguay’s premier grinder Fabrizio “DrMiKee” Gonzalez looked set to mount a challenge for the title but he ran out of steam to fall by the wayside in fifth-place, a result that turned $215 into $5,554.

Imagining buying into an online poker tournament for $55 and 13 hours later you have $64,236 more than you started with, how amazing would that be? Well, that is exactly what happened to the United Kingdom’s “Sysinho33” thanks to them taking down the massive 888poker $1,000,000 God of the Arena ME.

An incredible 15,153 entries processed, which left an overlay on the $1 million guaranteed prize pool, but none of the 2,000 players who cashed cared much for that.

All but two of the players who navigated their way to the final table locked up a five-figure score when bounty payments were included, Russia’s “pappagallo93” being the first player to secure at least 181 times more than their initial $55 investment.

Pappagallo93 must have been playing an aggressive style because they won $6,382 worth of bounties on their way to finishing seventh with only the eventual champion walking away with more!

That champion was none other than “Sysinho33” who won $51,815 for finishing in first place, plus an additional $12,421 from the bounty prize pool. Ireland’s “sully4428” was the tournament’s runner-up, a finish worth $35,096 plus $5,119 worth of bounties for a $40,215 addition to their bankroll.
