US Online Sunday Briefing: WSOP.com Online Championships in Full Swing
The Online Championships is fully underway at WSOP.com in both New Jersey and Nevada. The festival features 124 action-packed tournaments with $3 million in guaranteed prizes from June 1 until July 1.
The other American regulated online poker rooms did not host any special tournaments or festivals but did offer its usual array of big Sunday tournaments.

The OC #37 - $22,222 NLH Warmup was the first of four Online Championships events to kick off at WSOP.com in Nevada and New Jersey on Sunday. The tournament generated a massive $32,410 with 758 entrants, 1689 rebuys at $11 each, and 397 add-ons at $22.
Nevada's "PowerKC" finished on top of the massive field to ship the event for $7,454 after more than eight hours of play to etch him closer to $300,000 in career tournament cashes at WSOP according to PocketFives.
This was his second largest score. His largest came earlier a few months ago in March when he outlasted a field of 45 players in the $500 buy-in $30,000 The BIG Deal for $10,162.
Also finishing on the podium were New Jersey's Sean "ricecakes124" Rice (second - $3,938) and Chris "cbinz" Bindshedler (third - $2,593.

The WSOP.com OC #38 - $100,000 NLH Sunday was a huge success on Sunday with 652 entrants (455 entries + 197 reentries) generating a $195,600 prize pool or almost double the guarantee.
While this was a bit smaller when compared to last week's WSOP gold bracelet event Event #10: $365 WSOP.com ONLINE No-Limit Hold’em won by William "Twooopair" Reymond for $154,996, it did provide tons of value for every player that cashed.
After more than 10 hours of play, "Broder23" shipped the event for a whopping $47,922. This by far represented his biggest cash at WSOP.com according to Poker Pro Labs, dwarfing the $9,041 he won when he won the $30,000 GTD Weekly Sunday in November 2015.
Notable players at the final table included Nevada's Mark "freezer" Johns (fourth - $12,518) and New Jersey's Pierre "P_aire_146" Deissler (sixth - $8,606).
Meanwhile, "pill_ivey" notched his second final table of the day in an Online Championships event in a big way with a runner-up performance worth $26,895. This player also took sixth place in the WSOP.com OC #37 - $22,222 NLH Warmup for $1,296.

Two weeks ago, PokerStars reduced the guarantee of the Sunday Special from $45,000 to $40,000. Last week, the prize pool exceeded the old guarantee of $45,000 while this week the 204 entrants (116 entries + 88 reentries) provided great value for those that cashed with $2,000 in overlay.
After more than 6 1/2 hours of play, "senor stinks" and Andrew "BreweRonnie" Glauberg agreed to a deal to pay the duo $7,696 and $7,104 respectively. Glauberg, who was a former top-ranked player in the Garden State at PocketFives, is remarkably closing in on $1.5 million in online tournament cashes at U.S. regulated poker sites alone.
Three players already mentioned for appearing at a final table in another major online tournament were also competing at this final table including Daniel "AvaGray" Lupo (third - $4.700), David "coles93" Coleman (fifth - $2,400), and Jason "TiltedHard" Lawhun (sixth - $2,000).

Meanwhile, David "coles93" Coleman got his third mention this report with a fourth-place finish worth $1,927 and old-school grinder Brandon "mudcookie" Shane was the first player to cash with a fifth-place finish worth $1,542.
