US Online Sunday Briefing: Jason Lawhun Wins the $100,000 GTD Sunday

New Jersey's Jason Lawhun had a Sunday to remember. He notched his biggest online tournament cash under the screenname "LuckDuck" after outlasting a field of 460 entrants in the WSOP.com/888poker - $100,000 GTD Sunday to bank $35,190.

Lawhun also took fifth place in the BorgataPoker.com/partypoker/PlayMGM Daily $10K GTD for $575 under the screenname "RiverMan" on Sunday.

His amazing weekend has helped Lawhun surpass $800,000 in cashes according to PocketFives, of which more than $700,000 have come from American regulated online poker networks.

Lawhun is currently ranked in ninth place in New Jersey and 637th place in the world and is likely to move up the rankings when PocketFives next updates them on Saturday.

For the second time in the past three weeks, the WSOP.com/888poker $15,000 Sunday Kick-off failed to meet it guarantee with 135 entrants, 113 rebuys, and 75 add-ons. A total of 25 players cashed in the event for a minimum of $180.

"HODLer" took the most advantage of the overlay by winning the event after more than six hours of play for $4,125.

Anthony "Adversity45" Pagan outperformed his fifth-place finish in this event last week for $1,160, with a runner-up performance this week for $2,400. Also at the final table was Angel "ChromeKing" Lopez finishing in eighth place for $375.

This week, the tournament came $3,000 short of meeting its $45,000 guarantee with 210 entrants (125 entries + 85 reentries). A total of 27 players more than doubled their buy-in with a minimum cash of at least $450.

After nearly seven hours of play, "supremetny" won the event for $9,675. Finishing one spot behind was Anthony "FlawlessBINK" Maio in second place for $6,975.
