Swedish PSMO

Apr. 1 marks the start of the Swedish Poker-SM Online Championships Series (PSMO) at 888poker, the third consecutive festival the online poker site has hosted.

The Swedish PSMO started life in 2006 with a single tournament and has run annually ever since and morphed into an eagerly anticipated online poker festival. This latest edition of the PSMO is made up of 10 events throughout April, with buy-ins ranging from a freeroll up to $320 for the pair of High Roller events.

2018 PSMO Schedule

With the exception of the Freeroll, all of the PSMO events including LowRollers, HighRollers and the Main Event award leaderboard points to those competing in them. Whoever tops the PSMO Leaderboard at the end of the series will walk away with a 2018 WSOP Crazy Eights package, while the PSMO Main Event champion will scoop an 888poker LIVE Barcelona package.

The Main Event is the tournament everyone wants to win and it is structured so that the cream really does rise to the top. Main Event players get to play for a share of a guaranteed $15,000 and play to 120-minute levels!

Past winners of the PSMO Main Event include Emma Wikberg and Pontus Magnusson and the tournament regularly attracts some of Sweden’s superstars such as World Series of Poker bracelet winners Peter Eichardt and Jerry Odeen. We would expect the 888poker ambassadors Sofia Lovgren and 2014 WSOP Main Event champion Martin Jacobson to be competing in all of the 2018 PSMO events as well.

Satellites for the Main Event and $55 buy-in side events are currently running on 888poker, but they come to an end when the month of March finishes.
