partypoker Announces the $2.7 Million Monster Series
partypoker announced today it is to run its popular low-to-mid-stakes online festival Monster Series from Apr. 29 through May 6.
The second edition of Monster Series features a total of 41 numbered events and a total of 123 different tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $0.44 up to $33 and combined guarantees of $2.7 million.
The $2.7 million guaranteed Monster Series has been streamlined from the last time partypoker ran the series so that tournaments are more focused on formats that partypoker’s players find most appealing. Tournaments will be played as no-limit hold’em on six-handed and eight-handed tables and six-handed and eight-handed progressive knockout events will feature a mix of regular, fast and turbo structured blinds.

Each of the eight days features a flasghip tournament that shuffles up and deals at 6:00 p.m. BST and offers players the chance to play for a combined $130,000. These special tournaments are:
- $33 buy-in with $100,000 guaranteed
- $7.50 buy-in with $25,000 guaranteed
- $1.50 buy-in with $5,000 guaranteed
There are some massive guarantees to play for on each of the Sundays the Monster Series is running. $620,000 is guaranteed over the six tournaments despite the buy-ins only being $1.50, $7.50 and $33.

The final day of Monster Series, May 6, also sees a trio of Ladies-only events taking place, which keeps with the theme of partypoker’s recent online festivals. partypoker ladies can get involved in a $33 buy-in with a $5,000 guarantee, a $7.50 buy-in tournament with a $2,000 guarantee and a $1.50 buy-in with a $500 guarantee.
