Unibet Open Bucharest Begins Nov. 30
Next week, the Unibet Open returns to Bucharest, Romania for the second time in its 10-year tour history for five days of poker action, parties and other exclusive events on Nov. 27 to Dec. 3 at the luxurious JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel.
The highlight of the festival is, of course, the €1,100 Unibet Open Main Event with a huge €500,000 guaranteed prize pool from Nov. 30 to Dec. 3.
Last year's Main Event in Romania was a huge success with a Unibet Open record-breaking 603 players generating a huge €584,910 prize pool. Local player Traian Bostan went from zero to hero after he came back from just four big blinds to win the event for a cool €100.000.
Expectations are just as big for this year's Main Event. The tournament kicks off with two opening flights on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 with players beginning with 30,000 in chips and blinds increasing every 60 minutes. Surviving players will compete for two more days until the final trophy of the 2017 Unibet Open season is awarded.
In addition to the Main Event, another big event is the two-day €2,200 NLH High Roller on Nov. 29-30. This tournament is also a deep-stacked affair with players starting off with 30,000 in chips and blinds increase every 45 minutes. Players that are eliminated during the late-registration period can opt to reenter one time.
Smaller stakes players will be able to partake in the €170 Monsterstack which features two opening flights on Nov. 27-28 followed by the final day on Nov. 30. In addition, there is a one-day €110 Ladies Event on Dec. 2.
