Johannes Korsar

Sweden’s Johannes “Greenstone25” Korsar broke through the $10 million barrier for online poker tournament winnings on Nov. 19 courtesy of winning a PokerStars Sunday Major and reaching the final table of another.

Korsar was one of 135 entrants in the $2,100 Sunday High Roller event, a tournament that attracts some of the best poker players in the business. Korsar is considered to be one of those elite grinders and is currently ranked 12th in the world by our friends at PocketFives.com.

After almost 10 hours of play, Korsar and Austria’s “WushuTM” struck a deal that saw the latter walk away with $50,370 and Korsar $53,827 and the title.

While Korsar was busy taking down the High Roller, he was also navigating his way through the 395-strong field in the Sunday 500. A double PokerStars win looked to be in the cards for the talented Swede, but he fell shy of victory, busting in third place for $19,337.
