Winamax Poker Open

One of the most popular tournaments held in Ireland during 2016 was the Winamax Poker Open, so it is not surprising that the France-facing online poker room is returning to Dublin from Sep. 21 for the 2017 edition of its live poker festival.

It is safe to say that the 2016 Winamax Poker Open was a huge success, with thousands of poker players from France and around Europe descending on the Regency Airport Hotel in Dublin. The €550 Main Event attracted 978 entries who created a €477,753 prize pool. The lion’s share of that impressive sum went to Antonin Teisseire who defeated Cyril Loichot heads-up to scoop a cool €72,000.

The 2017 edition of the Winamax Poker Open has a new home, namely the CityWest Hotel in Dublin but the buy-in remains at the same €550. A crowd of around 1,000 players is expected to participate in the Main Event, which this year is being played on six-handed tables to spice up the action.

Anyone who wants more than the Main Event to play in is going to be well catered for with several side events taking place before, during and after the Winamax Poker Open Main Event, while cash game players will benefit from around-the-clock action throughout the festival.
