DTD 1000

Dusk Till Dawn and partypoker have come together to create a £500,000 guaranteed tournament at the end of August.

The DTD 1000 is the bigger brother of Dusk Till Dawn’s popular DTD 200 tournament, a £220 buy-in event with a £100,000 guarantee. The DTD 1000 costs £1,100 to enter and boasts of a prize pool weighing in at a cool £500,000*.

Like the DTD 200 tournament, the DTD 1000 is played both online at partypoker and live at Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham. Players who choose to start their quest for glory in the online arena can play in both starting flights if they wish but if they progress from both, only their largest stack is taken through to the live Day 2.

Online Day 1s for the DTD 1000 cost $1,450 to buy into and for that princely sum players receive 100,000 chips and play to blinds that increase every 30-minutes. A total of eight levels are played on Day 1 and anyone with chips in front of them at the end of the eighth level progress to Day 2.

The live Day 1s, held at Dusk Till Dawn, see players pay £1,100 to receive the same 100,000 chips and the blinds remain in the same structure as the online flights except the clock is set at 60-minutes.

The live element of the DTD 1000 has an interesting twist known as the "Button Ante." As the name suggests, the button ante concept sees only the player on the button pay the antes during each round instead of everyone at the table having to ante up. As only one player is paying the antes, the speed at which each new hands gets underway is increased and more hands per hour are dealt.

Satellites for the DTD 1000 are available at partypoker right now in a phased format. There is a $2.20 Quarter Final to get things started. Players who make it through the Quarter Final take their chips through to the $22 buy-in Semi Final. Anyone making it through the Semi Final take their chips through to the $215 buy-in DTD 1000 Satellite where 20 x £1,100 seats are guaranteed.
