Sam Grafton

There are two new names in the top 20 of the United Kingdom’s online poker rankings, provided by our friends at PocketFives.com, although one of the two has been featured in the spotlight before.

The player known as “Deepincidurr” debuts in 18th place in the U.K. and a career-high of 148th in the world. Hailing from Crewe, Stoke-on-Trent, Deepincidurr has almost $700,000 in online poker tournament winnings despite his largest cash weighing in at $14,071. Deepincidurr is consistent and that consistency has, rightly, seen him climb the rankings.

“CrackedeI29” is the player returning to the U.K.’s top 20. Thought to be one of the many UK-based Spaniards, CrackedeI29 has more than $1.37 million in winnings, including a recent $2,527 score for finishing seventh in the Big $109 at PokerStars.

Conor “1_conor_b_1” Beresford still leads the U.K. rankings but should be overtaken once Patrick “pleno1” Leonard’s impressive weekend results are added to his profile. Leonard, a partypoker ambassador, has been on fire over the past week and can brag of results such as:

  • First place in the $215 PLO Heads-up SCOOP at PokerStars for $18,567
  • Fourth place in the $1,050 NLHE 8-Max SCOOP at PokerStars for $59,175
  • Sixth place in the $300K Super High Roller Powerfest at partypoker for $18,113
  • Fourth place in the $500K Gtd Powerfest at partypoker for $47,748

Two other players who could improve their ranking next week are Ludovic “ludovi333” Geilich and Kenny “SpaceyFCB” Hallaert. Geilich banked $31,6989 by finishing third in the $109 NLHE 8-Max SCOOP while Hallaert won a $1,050 NLHE 8-Max SCOOP for a huge $147,938.

Sam “TheSquid” Grafton climbed several places on the back of his win in the $1,050 NLO8 SCOOP event which netted him $51,285. Grafton also helped himself to the $29,865 runner-up prize in the $100,000 Mini Chip-In XL Inferno tournament at 888poker, but that has not yet been added to his PocketFives points tally.

Tomas Geleziunas Up to Fourth in Ireland

The top three players in Ireland remain the same this week, with James “Jaymo” Noonan, Toby “JobyToyce” Joyce and Dan “NukeTheFish!” Wilson occupying those three spots, but Tomas “luckymo32” Geleziunas has climbed a couple of spots to fourth place.

Geleziunas put in some ridiculous volume online and has been hitting final tables with an alarming regularity this past week. Geleziunas may be some way off a top three position in the Irish rankings, but if he continues this way, anything is possible.

Cathal “shinerrr” Shine should improve his current position once the next update is complete; he banked $15,532 by finishing second in the 888poker $100,000 Sunday Challenge. Dara “Doke” O’Kearney could climb after his runner-up finish in the $30K Gtd. Powerfest event at partypoker that won him $4,779.

Lastly, Andrew “UlDuffer” Sweeney returned to the Irish top 20 after finishing second in the $1,050 PLO8 6-Max SCOOP, a finish worth a cool $49,113.
