partypoker Confirms Full MILLONS Schedule With More than £8M Guaranteed
Tournament poker players will flock to Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham this April where they have the chance to play for a share of more than £8 million in guaranteed prize pools.
“It’s important for me to see such a fantastic range of events for the players to choose from," partypoker Live President, John Duthie said. "A great satellite schedule also gives players of all bankrolls the opportunity to become a millionaire at Dusk Till Dawn next month.”
The partypoker MILLIONS tournament, which will pay the eventual champion at least £1 million, was announced back in September 2016 as a £5 million guaranteed event. Less than a month later, partypoker boosted the guarantee to £6 million.
Phase 1 tournaments costing £550 ($675) have been running online at partypoker and at live card rooms around the world for several months and these feed into £5,300 Day 1s. Players will then head to Dusk Till Dawn to complete the tournament and hopefully become poker’s latest millionaire.
On March 15, partypoker announced on its blog the full schedule of events for the MILLIONS festival. In addition to the £6 million guaranteed MILLIONS tournament, there are two events with £1 million guarantees: a £10,000 guaranteed Ladies event and a £250,000 guaranteed 6-Max tournament.
One of the casino’s £100,000 guaranteed DTD200 tournaments pushes the total guarantees past £8 million.
The first £1M guaranteed event commands a £10,300 buy-in and is sure to be a huge draw for the elite players from the United Kingdom, Europe and further afield, with the second £1 million guaranteed tournament being a £2,700 buy in 8-Max event.
