Unibet Poker has swooped in and signed a trio of prominent poker players as brand ambassadors.

With immediate effect and just in time for the Unibet Open London Festival, Ian Simpson, Dara O’Kearney and David Lappin officially became Unibet Poker players.

All three of Unibet Poker’s new signings are active on social media, popular among their peers, talented poker players and fit into Unibet Poker’s ethos of being a fun and friendly place to play poker.

Simpson shot to fame in 2013 when he topped a field of 505 entries in the Irish Open Main Event, a result that netted him €265,000, which is still his largest cash haul to date. Later that year, Simpson was the runner-up in the UKIPT London Main Event and banked an additional £106,869.

Part of Simpson’s duties as a Unibet ambassador are to sport a Unibet Poker patch at live events and stream some of his online play on Unibet’s Twitch channel.

O’Kearney, affectionately known as “Doke,” has traveled the globe playing in live poker events. Known as a satellite specialist, O’Kearney is also a superb writer and keeps an excellent poker blog where he pens his thoughts about all things poker and more.

Unibet will probably use O’Kearney on its Twitch channel as his dulcet tones and his vast strategy knowledge will be well-received by Unibet’s players.

Last, but not least, is Lappin. Like O’Kearney, Lappin is a popular Irish professional player who also happens to be vocal on social media and who has his own blog. While not as prolific as O’Kearney when it comes to writing, Lappin’s blog has almost 250 posts and all are well-written and entertaining. It wouldn't be a surprise if Unibet puts Lappin’s writing talents to good use in the coming months.

The newly signed trio are currently in London for the 2017 Unibet Open London festival and you can keep up with their progress via the PokerNews Live Reporting pages as our team is on the ground at The Poker Room formerly known as The Vic for the duration of the Main Event.

You can also lock horns with Simpson, O’Kearney and Lappin at the virtual felt by downloading Unibet Poker via PokerNews and boosting your bankroll with a welcome bonus of up to €200.
