Sunday Briefing: Sunday Million Ends in a Three-Way Chop

This weekend’s Sunday Million surpassed its $1 million guarantee by almost $100,000 and featured a three-way chop where the final three players banked a combined $340,958.02.

It was “Bager1988” who claimed the most of the Sunday Million’s prize pool, netting $146,004.41 with runner-up “elcoysa” collecting $104,193 and “FloweerBoy” turning $215 into an impressive $90,760.61.

This week’s Sunday Million takes place one day later, on Boxing Day, due to Sunday being Christmas Day. The slightly later Sunday Million has a massive $2 million guaranteed prize pool.

Another huge payday was enjoyed in the $1,050 Sunday Grand NLHE, which this week brought 282 players, creating a prize pool that beat the $200,000 guarantee by $82,000. The lion’s share of the prize pool went to Canada’s “OLD TIME GIN” who banked $53,694.74 and bragging rights among his peers.

The biggest score at partypoker this week weighed in at $43,022.13, which was the first-place prize of the $250,000 Gtd Title Fight won by Alexandr “Biack” Trofimov. Partypoker ambassador Tony “Bond_18” Dunst finished eighth in the same tournament for $4,995.90.

This week’s $150,000 Gtd High Roller was won by “PokerrrGenius” who turned $530 into $33,475.53 and a shoutout to “kainasi” who won the $150,000 Gtd Main Event for a cool $24,000.

Finally, the results from 888poker where “steveybg” won the $80,000 Baby Whale for $18,053.55. The $100,000 Mega Deep ended in a heads-up chop where “vaitodo.pt” won $22,429.28 and “nemekiss” walked away with $19,351.10.

The United Kingdom’s “IkamBarc” turned $160 into $11,168.58 by taking down the $50,000 Sunday Crocodile. Canada’s “d0nkeykong” triumphed in the $70,000 Sunday Challenge for a $15,402 score.
