Sweden’s “Madeon1994” has been grinding online tournaments for seven years and amassed almost $6.3 million in online tournament winnings. Close to $350,000 of that impressive total stems from Madeon1994’s play at 888poker. That figure received a boost this week when he won the $100,000 Whale for $26,112.60 after defeating “fezzz123” heads up, the runner-up banking $19,153.50.

Lukas “suk12cz” Soucek moved ever closer to the magical $3 million in online winnings with a victory in the $100,000 Mega Deep. Soucek and “SanttuO” found themselves heads up and decided to strike a deal for the remaining prize pool. Soucek came out on top of the one-on-one battle and walked away with $21,068.72 with SanttuO collecting $20,059.86.

This week iCrushu556 claimed the $15,298.87 first-place prize on offer in the $70,000 Sunday Challenge, a tournament that allows players to make a rebuy, which in turn gives the prize pool a significant boost. Be wary of iCrushu556 if he’s at your table because he definitely knows his way around a poker table.

Latvia’s Aleksejs “APonakov” Ponakovs emerged victorious in this week’s $50,000 Volcano, one of 888poker’s $600 buy in tournaments, one that attracts some of the biggest names in online poker. Ponakov is ranked in the top 50 players in the world by our friends at PocketFives.com and is rapidly closing in on $2 million in online winnings. If he keeps winning tournaments such as the $50,000 Volcano, it is only a matter of time before he smashes through that barrier.

Brazil’s Joao Mathias “joao_mathias” Baumgarten, a grinder with more than $8.8 million in online winnings, won this week’s Quarterback and collected $9,207.20 after a heads-up chop with “der_bomber66” who banked $9,292.80.
