New Jersey's John "FizzEdJohn" Cosgrove Jr. recorded his first five-digit online poker tournament cash on Sunday by winning the PokerStars NJ Sunday Special, $50,000 Gtd for $10,225. This followed up Cosgrove Jr.'s first five-digit haul on the live felts after taking fourth place in the WPT Borgata Open Event #2: $400 No Limit Hold'em Deepstack Black Chip Bounty for $15,391.
Other notable players on the final table in the Sunday Special included Daniel "yazi4" Caiazzo (third - $5,650), Steven "FadeOrHoldz" Madara (fifth - $2,950) and last week's winnerDavid "coles93" Coleman (eighth - $1,250).
Coleman, who has been on fire as of late, was also on the final table on three other big tournaments this weekend including the partypoker NJ/BorgataPoker.com Sunday Seconds $10K Gtd (fourth - $1,155), the 888poker NJ/WSOP.com NJ $50,000 Ultimate Warrior (ninth - $950) and the 888poker NJ/WSOP.com NJ $10,000 Fierce Warrior (third - $1,379).
Meanwhile, "RaulRizz" had a weekend to remember as well. He snagged the biggest single score of the weekend in the Garden State by shipping the $50,000 Ultimate Warrior for $13,500. Just behind this player was Jeremy "Jermz" Danger taking second place for $7,875 and Douglas "Badwis" Weider finishing in third place for $4,500.
Another player that stood out this weekend was none other than well-known New Jersey online poker tournament player Anthony "Flawlessbink" Maio with three final table finishes on Sunday in events with at least a $10,000 guaranteed prize pool. Maio's biggest haul came with a win in the partypoker NJ/BorgataPoker.com Sunday $40K gtd for $8,840. He also took third place in the Sunday Seconds for $1,617 and added another $903 to his Sunday's winnings with a fifth-place finish in the PokerStars NJ Nightly Stars $100, $12,000 Gtd.
