PokerHeaven to Close on November 12: Here’s All You Need To Know
After a decade in the online poker industry, PokerHeaven announced that the site will no longer operate from Thursday, November 12. The poker room stated that the decision came as a consequence of the "increased market regulation across Europe and other environmental factors."
"After ten years as a trusted European poker brand that has focused on enhanced player experience and outstanding customer service, PokerHeaven.com will close on November 12, 2015," a message from the poker room explains. "We would like to thank all our customers over the years for their loyalty to PokerHeaven."
Part of the MPN and Ongame poker networks, and with a past as a Boss Media skin, in recent years PokerHeaven was hit by the proliferation of different form of legislation in Europe. The creation of ring-fenced markets in countries like Italy, France, and Spain reduced the number of players active on the room, causing a major decrease in revenue.
Although the games will stop on Nov. 12, players at PokerHeaven will have until Nov. 19 to cash out their balances. "All player funds are held in a ring-fenced account and are available for you to withdraw from now until 19th November," the room explains.
"After 19th November, [players] will still be able to access [their] funds by emailing [email protected] with [their] specific account details." However, "to ensure the quickest withdrawal times possible," PokerHeaven suggests players cash out prior to November 19.
While all the tournament tickets players have accumulated need to be used by Nov. 12, the room explained also that their VIP program had stopped already on Nov. 1, and that "all outstanding loyalty program payments have been made."
