Partypoker Unveils Four-Time World Champion Boxer Carl Froch as Ambassador
Four-time world champion boxer, Carl "The Cobra" Froch, is a new brand ambassador for partypoker after the leading online poker site announced his new role on Monday, November 9, a day after Iaron Lightbourne secured the largest payday of his career by winning the 2015 partypoker World Poker Tour UK Main Event for £200,000.
Thirty-eight-year-old Froch, who won 33 of his 35 fights (24 by knockout), will represent partypoker at live events and will play online at partypoker as part of the site's "For the People" remit. Froch's appointment gives partypoker players the opportunity to lock horns with the man once called Britain's best pound-for-pound boxer.
As part of Froch's appointment, partypoker has revamped its multi-table tournament schedule and renamed certain tournaments with a boxing twist.
Players can now play in The Jab, a $5,000 guaranteed tournament that only costs $5.50 to buy into, up to the $150,000 guaranteed Main Event. The new schedule, referred to as the Power Series, has 158 tournaments each week, with combined guarantees of $1,284,000.

Play Against Froch for a Share of $100,000
Froch is taking on 99 partypoker players in a $100,000 guaranteed online tournament to help celebrate his new ambassador role. Potential Froch opponents can qualify for the special tournament, held on December 13, now through December 6 with the top 99 players winning a seat alongside Froch in the $100,000 guaranteed event.
Of his appointment, Froch said: "I've been mentally preparing for this tournament just the same as any of my world title fights – I intend to win and as the Ambassador for partypoker I best not let the side down!
