Hello and welcome to the latest edition of the UK & Ireland PokerNews Round-Up, your one-stop shop for all things poker related in the UK and Ireland. There's a real mixed bag for you to soak up this week, so without further ado, let's get this round-up on the road!

We mentioned last week that the 2015 Grosvenor UK Poker Tour Edinburgh Main Event was in full swing. Well, that has now concluded, and it's champion has been crowned. That champion is none other than the former Irish Open winner James Mitchell, and he walked away with the £33,930 first-place prize and yet another trophy for his mantel.

Mitchell wasn't the only winner, either, because Scott "Aggro Santos" Margereson kept up the recent trend of British players owning the PokerStars Sunday Million by taking this past week's down for almost $200,000. You may recall that Margereson won two WCOOP events in the space of two days in 2014, so he is definitely one to watch at the upcoming Spring Championship Of Online Poker.

That Sunday Million victory saw Margereson climb up the UK's online poker rankings (he's now ranked fifth in the UK), whereas Ireland's leaderboard has a brand new name at its summit, that of Spaniard Sergio "EV4dGloryOMC" Garcia, who can seemingly do no wrong now in whatever tournament he enters.

Other popular stories stemming from the UK and Ireland this week include the news that Playtech was launching the world's first sports-betting app for the Apple Watch — surely it is only a matter of time before a real-money poker app is created for the latest Apple gadget.

Also, PokerStars and Full Tilt are helping raise money for the victims of the recent earthquake in Nepal, while customers of the suspended 666Bet look set to be refunded after Skrill made itself available to process withdrawals.

Lastly is the news of one of Blackpool's four casinos, the Sam Tai, being forced to close its doors due to a lack of trade, and an article showing four ways that you can win your way to Las Vegas this summer at partypoker, Betfair Poker, Sky Poker, and 888poker.
