MSPT Maryland Live!

Season 6 of the Mid-States Poker Tour just concluded the second-largest stop in the tour's history when Jason Mirza won the MSPT Potawatomi in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for $147,529. Now, the MSPT sets its site on the east coast where it is currently visiting Maryland Live! in Hanover, Maryland for the first time.

The stop has been hosting a series side events, qualifiers, and super satellites into the $1,110 buy-in $250,000 guaranteed Main Event, which will feature three starting flights from April 16-18 (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday).

"The MSPT Potawatomi was a tremendous success, and we plan to keep the ball rolling this weekend in Maryland," said MSPT owner and operator Bryan Mileski. "Maryland Live! has established itself as a top poker destination, and we're confident the MSPT's first time in town will be a big success. We hope to see a solid mix of MSPT regulars and some East Coast grinders."

Among those confirmed to attend the MSPT Maryland Live! are MSPT Team Pros Blake Bohn, Matt Alexander, and Nick Pupillo, who was recently the subject of a PokerNews feature piece. In addition, Mark Hodge, who currently sits atop the MSPT Season 6 Player of the Year Leaderboard, will be heading east in the search of more POY points.

The PokerNews Live Reporting team will be on hand to capture all the action from that event, and of course players will have the opportunity to use the My Stack app to update their hands and chip counts straight into the live blog.

"PokerNews can’t wait to see what Maryland Live! has to offer," said PokerNews Editor in Chief Donnie Peters. "Since the room opened up in the middle of 2012, it's been a real hotbed for poker action. Now, in conjunction with the MSPT, we expect to see big turnouts and big prizes awarded at the upcoming stop."
