2015 PokerNews Cup

With the first shuffle up and deal set for Feb. 4, the 2015 PokerNews Cup is getting ready to hit the stage at the King’s Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic, for six days of great live poker.

Built around a nine-tournament schedule, the eighth edition of PokerNews’own live poker series offers everything a recreational poker could ask for to experience the atmosphere of a professional live poker event at an affordable buy-in.

Highlighting the 2015 edition of the PokerNews Cup will be the three-day €200,000 Guaranteed Main Event, a €250 buy-in tournament running from Feb. 5-9.

The players interested in joining the Main Event will have the opportunity to do so through four different Day 1s, with the last starting flight being a special late-evening turbo starting at 9 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9.

"The eighth edition of the PokerNews Cup is going to be an amazing event," said iBus Media and PokerNews CEO Jon Squires.

"For a very low buy-in, the series will offer every participant the unique opportunity to sit at the tables for some top poker action, compete for a significant guaranteed prize pool and enjoy the great exposure that only a global poker media as PokerNews can offer."

"The PokerNews Cup will be a great chance for all our visitors to discover an excellent venue as the King’s Casino and for us to finally meet and greet many of our loyal readers," Squires continued.

Besides the Main Event, the 2015 PokerNews Cup will offer several more reasons to spend the weekend in Rozvadov.

The newly released schedule of the series includes side events such as a €100 buy-in €10K guaranteed pot-limit Omaha tournament on Friday, Feb. 6, and a €5K guaranteed €85 buy-in PokerNews Cooldown no-limit hold’em event on Monday, Feb. 9.

Endless cash games and online qualifiers

Together with the tournaments in the calendar, the King’s Casino guarantees a non-stop cash action with cash games running round-the-clock from the first to the very last day of the event.

"PokerNews is a true industry leader, and over the years it has given a great contribution to shape the poker industry and make poker become the global phenomenon it is today," said Leon Tsoukernik, owner of King’s Casino explained.

"Like PokerNews, also at King’s Casino we strive for excellence. By coming to the PokerNews Cup, players will get the chance to discover one of Europe's best casinos with cash tables and casino games running round-the-clock."

Although the tournament is less than one month away, there are still plenty of opportunities to win a seat to the €200k Main Event for close to nothing.

Right now, PokerNews players at Unibet Poker are fighting for one of the two special packages up for grabs in a special rake race that started back on Nov. 30, 2014 and will end on Jan. 14, 2015.

Right after that, on Monday, Feb. 16, a new round of PokerNews-exclusive qualifiers will begin at RedBet Poker. For more information about the 2015 PokerNews Cup and the satellite qualifiers available, visit www.pokernewscup.com.
