PokerStars to Celebrate Historic Event with Billionth Tournament Carnival Nov. 17-30
A significant moment in online poker history is rapidly approaching. On Sunday, Nov. 30, PokerStars will host Tournament Number One Billion, a $109 buy-in $2 million guaranteed tournament that highlights a larger series of events dubbed the Billionth Tournament Carnival.
In addition to the huge guarantee, PokerStars will give away $200,000 in cash and prizes to randomly selected tables over the first two and a half hours of the tournament. Click here to see a full list of prizes.
“One billion tournaments is just so sick! I’ve played thousands of PokerStars tournaments over the years, and I learned so much from them, it definitely was a huge part of my success,” said Team PokerStars Pro and the first-ever Supernova Elite Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, who has played 6,559 scheduled tournaments on PokerStars. “After all these years, I’m glad to see there are still huge prize pools and massive turnouts every day of the week on PokerStars. It really is the best place to play poker.”
The series will run from Nov. 17-30 and feature promotions for both multi- and single-table tournaments including Golden Sit & Gos, Daily Bigs, and Hot Turbos.
