The Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) recently completed its second-largest event at Milwaukee’s Potawatomi Hotel & Casino, and later this month they look to continue their Wisconsin success at the Ho-Chunk Gaming Wisconsin Dells.

The latest stop will mark the MSPT’s fifth visit to the property, and every time the tour has rolled into town it has grown substantially. MSPT owner and operator Bryan Mileski hopes the trend continues with the $1,100 Main Event from Sept. 26-28.

“Wisconsin has a thriving and passionate poker community," said Mileski. “Time and again, Ho-Chunk Gaming Wisconsin Dells has proven this, and they continue to do so as qualifier numbers are up leading up to our fifth stop at the property. It very well could be the biggest and best yet.”

Back in March, Jason Sell topped a field of 393 entrants to capture the title and $97,539 in prize money. Other past winners of the MSPT Ho-Chunk include Joe Illingworth (Season 3), Daniel Bekavac (Season 4), and Josh Reichard (Season 4).

Starting at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20, Ho-Chunk Gaming Wisconsin Dells will host $250 qualifiers, which will see the top 20 percent of the field advance to the Main Event. In addition, the property will host a bonus event. Here’s a look at the full MSPT Ho-Chunk Gaming Wisconsin Dells qualifier and bonus event schedule:

The remaining players from each flight will combine on Sunday morning at 10 a.m. and play until a champion is crowned. The Main Event final table will be broadcast live (15-minute delay) worldwide using RFID technology allowing all viewers to see the hole cards.

In addition to poker, the location in South Central Wisconsin affords players and their family plenty of things to do such as the area’s popular indoor waterparks — which were highlighted a previous PokerNews Travel Guide — and as such plenty of notables are expected to attend including MSPT regular Mike Holm; Wisconsin Poker Players Alliance Director Steve Verrett; online poker legend Mark “P0ker H0” Kroon; and World Series of Poker bracelet winner Eric Baldwin.
