Global Poker Index: Jonathan Duhamel Rejoins Top 10 of GPI 300
Each week, the Global Poker Index releases a list of the top 300 tournament poker players in the world using a formula that takes into account a player's results over six half-year periods. The GPI also ranks the top performers of the year over two six-month periods as calculated by the USA Today Global Poker Index point system.

Keven Stammen retained his lead atop the GPI Player of the Year rankings this week. Stammen already has 10 cashes in 2014 after picking up another one at the 2014 World Poker Tour Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown this week.
While there was no movement in the top five, Englishman Tom Hall climbed two spots to No. 6. Hall finished ninth out of 181 players in the Italian Poker Tour High Roller, giving him enough points to move past Ami Barer and Ronit Chamani in the GPI POY race.
Joining the top 10 this week was Russian pro Alexander Denisov, who finished 18th in the IPT Main Event. That marked Denisov's ninth cash of the year.

One week after moving up five spots, Jonathan Duhamel moved up three more positions to No. 8 in the GPI 300. Duhamel is coming off a ninth-place finish in the EPT Vienna High Roller for $54,938, and benefitted from a big drop by Sorel Mizzi to rejoin the top 10.
Mizzi fell 12 spots to No. 19 after his third-place finish at the 2013 EPT High Roller aged into Period of the GPI formula. In addition, his title at the 2012 WPT Vienna High Roller aged into Period 5.
Also dropping out of the top 10 this week was Ravi Raghavan, who fell four spots to No. 13.

Niall Farrell's recent win in the Full Tilt Online Poker Series Main Event for $236,000 obviously doesn't count toward his GPI score, but he still managed to return to the top 300 this week. Farrell also took down a live event last week, winning the CPT Soring Showdown $550 event for $20,700.
Among the notables who exited the GPI this week were Barry Greenstein, Kevin Eyster, Kenny Hallaert and Frederik Jensen.

John Holley surged up the charts this week. The Florida native notched a pair of cashes at the WSOP Circuit stop in St. Louis, adding to five other scores he's accrued over the first four months of the year.
Zo Karim also moved back into the top 200 after winning a side event at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown.

Benny Spindler had two big scores age this week. His sixth-place finish in the WSOP Asia-Pacific Main Event dropped into Period 3, and his victory in the EPT Sanremo €10,000 8-Max Event aged into Period 4.
Mark Radoja slipped 84 spots after his three cashes at the 2013 EPT/UKIPT London series aged into Period 2. One of those scores was a victory in a €5,000 six-max tournament for €48,450.
