Win a VIP Trip to See Manchester United

Would you like to win a VIP trip to see Manchester United in action at Old Trattford? Who wouldn’t? Any football fan is already well aware Manchester United is one of the most successful football clubs with many of the biggest names in the game.

Partypoker is going to help five lucky poker players realize their dreams in the Manchester United Mission. Some of the mission’s four objectives are easier to achieve than others and they are all based off of the team’s rich history.

1. Play at least 135 hands of tournament poker representing the 135 years since Manchester United was founded.
2. Play 20 multi-table tournaments representing the club’s 20 league championships.
3. Play 11 sit & go tournaments, one for each year United has won the FA Cup.
4. Knock out 99 players to signify Manchester United’s “treble” win in 1999.

If you manage to complete this mission before the deadline on Jan. 26, you will be rewarded with a ticket for a freeroll on Feb. 2, 2014 at 14:30 ET. The top five finishers in this tournament win a VIP package valued at $1,500 which includes two-night accommodation, transportation, meals, official merchandise, and spending money. To top things off, this package also includes a chance to play in a sit-and-go tournament with Manchester United players!

Top Eight Gambling Films

If you are like most other poker players, you love the best gambling movie classics. Partypoker’s Dany Willis discusses his favorite eight gambling films that he would recommend to watch even if you have already seen them before.

This list contains a few newer classics such as Rounders, Oceans 11, and Casino as well as popular older cult classics, The Hustler, The Cincinnati Kid, The Color of Money, The Sting and Oceans 11.

You might think you caught a typo since Oceans 11 is listed twice. However, this movie was good enough to make the list once for their original movie with Frank Sinatra in 1960 and again for the remake with Brad Pitt and George Clooney in 2001.

Let partypoker know if there was any movie left off the list by commenting on the partypoker blog.

Twenty questions with partypoker’s Scott Baumstein

Twenty questions is a fun game growing up that is still a fun way to find out information as we get older. Partypoker pro Scott Baumstein was recently bombarded with off-the-wall questions and partypoker admits he answered in a surprising and entertaining style.

While most of the questions are not about poker, it is interesting to get in on the personal side of one of the more successful poker players. We won’t divulge the answers to all of the questions, however, our favorite was learning Luckbox Man would be Baumstein’s choice for his name if he was a superhero.

Check out the partypoker blog for all 20 questions and answers.
