Partypoker Weekly: Have You Completed the Montreal Mission Yet? 0001

Time is Running Out to Complete the WPT Montreal #pokermission

Partypoker has issued a new poker mission to its customers, one based around the upcoming WPT Montreal festival. Complete the mission's five objectives and you will win a seat to a special freeroll on Nov. 3, where the winner takes home a $5,000 WPT Montreal package and the second and third place finishers each win a $3,650 WPT Montreal entry.

If you want to bag yourself a seat in that special freeroll, you must complete all five of the following objectives before 11:59 p.m. ET on Oct. 31, which means you have less than two weeks remaining. The five objectives are:

  • Play 1,867 hands of any real money poker game type (Canada was founded in 1867). Heads-up tables and freerolls are excluded.
  • Win with these starting hands: 9-9, 7-7, 8-7 suited, 6-6 and 3-3 (these are jersey numbers of legendary Canadian hockey players)
  • Play three multi-table tournaments that have at least 25 participants in them (this represents Canada's three territories)
  • Play 10 Sit & Go tournaments, but not heads-up (representing Canada's 10 provinces)
  • Play at least one hand on six different days (a day for each of Canada's six time zones)

To start this mission, go to your "Missions" section, then "WPT Montreal," then click "Start Mission." Good luck!

John Ventre Wins the Inaugural WPT National UK London Main Event

This weekend saw the partypoker-sponsored World Poker Tour National UK London Main Event take place at Aspers Casino Westfield Stratford City, and what a début it had. Over the course of three starting flights there were 510 entries and a prize pool £91,980 — not a bad return on a £200 buy-in.

The eventual winner was 37-year old John Ventre who defeated Mohammed Suhail heads up to scoop the £20,250 first place prize.

Win a $6,100 Package to WPT Prague

The World Poker Tour (WPT) returns to Prague in December and you could be heading there with a WPT Prague package worth $6,100.

Running from Oct. 14 through Dec. 8 are number of online satellites that will see at least one players win a $6,100 package every week. Every Sunday at 2:25 p.m. ET, partypoker hosts a WPT Prague Satellite that costs $305+$25 to enter and guarantees at least one WPT Prague package. For every additional $6,100 in the prize pool, another WPT Prague package is awarded. Each package consists of:

  • $4,360 buy-in to the WPT Prague Main Event
  • Six nights' accommodation
  • $800 spending money

The WPT Prague Main Event takes place between Dec. 15-21 and should be one of the bigger European WPT stops, especially when you consider there are three starting flights available. Last season's Prague Main Event attracted 567 players who created a €1,683,900 ($2,188,563) prize pool. The largest share of that prize money is in the bank account of Poland's Marcin Wydrowski, Season 11's WPT Prague champion.

Away from the poker action, Prague is one of the most picturesque cities in the world and is even more beautiful during the winter months. Win a package and take a loved one with you and enjoy a perfect winter break, one that could see you win a potentially life-changing sum of money.
