WSOP Bracelet Winner Chad Holloway to Play Learn.PokerNews Event at CPT St. Maarten
In November, the Caribbean Poker Tour (CPT) will visit two exotic locales in Punta Cana and St. Maarten. Both stops will feature a festival of poker tournaments including a special Learn.PokerNews Challenge. We’re happy to announce that PokerNews Senior Editor and World Series of Poker bracelet winner Chad Holloway will be in St. Maarten to take part in the challenge.
“Learn.PokerNews is a great way for new players to learn about poker, and I’m thrilled they now have an event specifically designed for readers to test out exactly what they’ve learned,” Holloway said of the two-day event, which features a buy-in of $440. “The Learn.PokerNews Challenge coincides with the CPT Main Event, World Poker Tour Main Event, and the Lucky Number 7 High Roller. Toss in a great venue and it has all the ingredients to be an exhilarating experience. I’m very much looking forward to it.”
Both Punta Cana and St. Maarten will feature a $1,650 buy-in CPT Main Event, but only the latter will host a $3,500 WPT Main Event and the $7,000 Lucky Number 7 High Roller tournament hosted by German pro Tobias Reinkemeier.

Players can qualify for CPT events online on the iPoker Network, the tour’s main sponsor, which includes sites like William Hill, Betfair, Winner Poker, Titan Poker, Gala Poker and Win2day.be. Three packages are up for grabs, including the Ultimate Caribbean Package (17 days for €7,500), the St. Maarten Experience (10 days for €5,000), and the Punta Cana Experience (seven days for €4,000).
