UBOC5: Chad Batista and Tony Dunst Just Miss Event #11 Final Table; COACHIMNETS Wins Event #12 H.O.R.S.E. 0001

UltimateBet (UB) and Absolute Poker, in conjunction with the CEREUS Network, are currently hosting the fifth installment of the Ultimate Bet Online Poker Championship Series (UBOC). The UBOC5 is a series of 20 tournaments offering a combined $4 million in guaranteed prize money. Two tournaments took place on Tuesday, Event #11 $200 + $15 No-Limit Hold’em (with 1 rebuy + 1 add-on) and Event #12 $200 + $15 H.O.R.S.E., that attracted hundreds of players from around the world. In addition, the Mini-UBOC, which runs simultaneously with the UBOC and offers the same tournament at one-tenth of the price, served as an excellent option for those with a limited bankroll. The winner of each UBOC tournament not only received a nice payday, but a championship watch. In addition, anyone who eliminated a Team UB pro received $200 and a UBOC T-shirt.

The first event of the day was a no-limit hold’em rebuy tournament, which had 406 players generating 322 re-buys and 300 add-ons. This caused the prize pool to rise to $205,600, well above the $150k guarantee. Trishelle Cannatella (327th) hosted the event, her second of the UBOC5, and was one of the UB pros playing the event. Joining her were Brandon Cantu (291st),Gary “DEBO 34” Debernardi (287th), Matt Graham (80th) andAdam “Roothlus” Levy (67th). Although none of the UB pros managed to cash, a couple of recognizable names did. Tony “MUCKTHENUTS” Dunst, who went deep in this year’s World Series of Poker Main Event, finished in 12th place, while Chad “LILHOLDEM954” Batista became the final table bubble boy by finishing in 10th.

Joseph Udine, known as “HOODINI10” online, made the final table and found himself in three-handed action. He was short-stacked with 210,242 and moved all-in preflop with J8.FULL CLIP (426,895 in chips) called with 5A as the flop came 995. Udine needed to improve and picked up some extra outs when the 7 hit the turn. The 9 came on the river, giving FULL CLIP a full house and eliminating Udine in third place.

It took just eight more hands for the tournament to come to an end. The final hand came when JROMB, who held a bigger stack, raised all-in with 10K and FULL CLIP called for his tournament life with 106. The board ran out 32Q33, making JROMB’s king-high the best hand. He became the UBOC5 Event #11 champion and was awarded the $51,297.20 first-place prize.
