2009 Aussie Millions Schedule Released
Aussie Millions officials have now released the complete schedule for the 2009 edition of the largest annual poker tournament series in the Southern Hemisphere. The 2009 Aussie Millions runs January 4-26, 2009, including five days of "non-championship" events and satellite qualifiers preceding the first official event of the series, which is scheduled for January 9th. The series includes 18 official events, including the AUD $10,500 Main Event, which will begin on Jan. 19th.
Other highlights of the 2009 series include the two-day H.O.R.S.E. event beginning on Jan. 24, a no-limit "bounty" tourney starting on Jan. 16th, and a special "high roller" event with a $100,000 buy-in beginning on Jan. 18th. Most but not all events on the schedule are two-day tourneys.
The 2009 Aussie Millions Main Event will include three separate opening days and run for seven days. Alexander Kostritsyn won the 2008 Aussie Millions Main Event and is expected to return to defend his title.
