“The Greatest Father’s Day Gift,” were the first words uttered from Texas native Larry Wright after he won Event #30: $1,500 2-7 Draw Lowball for $101,975. Wright bested a final table that included Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi, Andrew "luckychewey" Lichtenberger, Erick Lindgren, and Brandon Cantu.

What was your first thought after you won?

Overcome with emotion, Wright paused for a moment and said, “I thought of my wife and my daughter who were sitting over there [pointing to the rail].”

Who’s the first person you’re going to call?

My other daughter.

What’s the first thing you’re going to do to celebrate tonight?

I’ll turn it over to my wife. Mrs. Wright obliged and said, “We’re gonna party.“

What was the first turning point in the heads-up match?

I got in Brandon’s [Cantu]head a little. Cantu played his heart out, but got a little frustrated.

Who was the first person to congratulate you?

My wife.
