Adrian State, for a long time the small stack among the last three remaining players, remained resilient. He opened the button with a raise to 600,000, and Nicola Grieco called from the small blind.

True to form, Grieco checked in the dark before the flop of 8♣J♠4♦ was revealed. State bet 900,000, and Grieco snap-called.

Grieco once again checked the K♥ turn in the dark, but this time State checked behind.

On the J♣ river, Grieco quickly bet 2,000,000, and State responded by going all in. Grieco didn't call, and State was back on track.
