World Series of Poker EuropeThe poker world will converge in London for the World Series of Poker Europe September 6th through 16th. Three events will make up the schedule for WSOP Europe, and the healthy sized buy ins will insure the elite of the game get their seats at the table. The first event is a £ 2,500 H.O.R.S.E. event that kicks off on September 6th at the Casino at the Empire, one of LCI’s newest London properties. This three day H.O.R.S.E. tournament will likely be capped at 160 participants (the capacity of the Empire), so players are encouraged to register early. The next event on the Schedule is a £ 5,000 Pot Limit Omaha tournament. The $10,000 USD buy in may frighten some, but PLO is the game of choice among many of Europe’s elite players, and this event is likely to sell out. Again, this event takes place at the Casino at the Empire, and with the capacity, a sell out is anticipated. The WSOPE Main Event will be an interesting one, with action occurring simultaneously across three London area casinos. The Main event is a £ 10,000 ($20,000 USD) No Limit Hold Em tournament with two “day 1’s”, and one day 2 being spread across the three casinos (The Empire, The Sportsman, and Fifty). Day 1‘a’ will start on September 10th at 2pm sharp, and play will commence in all three locations at that time. The field will combine into one for day three on September 13th, and the remainder of the tournament will be played out at the Casino at the Empire until a winner is crowned. The final table will take place September 16th. Be sure to check out our WSOP Europe news page, to keep up on all developments on this tournament. According to WSOPE officials, many of the top players in the game today ‘already have their money in the cage’ for these events, and the star factor in these tournaments is going to be very high. These are official WSOP bracelet events, and just imagine the hubbub if Phil Hellmuth, Johnny Chan, or Doyle Brunson wins one of these tournaments. The excitement for WSOP Europe is building, and PokerNews.com will once again be partnering with Bluff Magazine to bring you what we feel is the best poker tournament coverage available today. Check out our WSOP Europe schedule page for more info, and we will see you in London on the 6th of September.
