The 2022 World Series of Poker continues today with Event #6: $25,000 Heads-Up No-Limit Hold'em Championship. The unique bracket-style three-day event is capped at 64 players and is expected to attract many of the biggest and best in the game. The draw will take place before the first matches are played at 3 p.m. local time.
Players will begin Round 1 with 150,000 in chips and the 20-minute levels will start at 300/600. Registration closes prior to the first draw or when it sells out at 64 entries. There will be two rounds played each day until a champion is crowned on the third and final day.
Last year, Jason Koon snagged his maiden bracelet in this event as he skillfully navigated his way through six matches to ultimately defeat Gabor Szabo and claim the title.

This is the second of seven high roller No-Limit Hold’em events with a minimum buy-in of $25,000 on the 2022 WSOP schedule. The first high roller event will see a winner today as the inaugural Event #2: $100,000 High Roller Bounty concludes nearby.

The heads-up draw will be conducted just after 3 p.m. and the matches will get underway just shortly after that.

Jeremiah Williams was off to a quick start in his heads-up match with Joshua Heinzl but they have drawn back close to even. Williams raised to 1,500 on the button and Heinzl defended from the big blind.
The flop came and Heinzl check-called a bet of 600 from Williams. The landed on the turn and Heinzl led out with a bet of 2,100 this time. Williams called and the completed the board.
Heinzl slid out another bet of 3,700 and Williams quickly looked him up. Heinzl turned over for the nut flush and raked in the pot.

With about 6,000 in the pot on a completed board, Anthony Zinno had 7,000 chips over the betting line and Julien Martini called after pondering his decision.

Kevin Rabichow is starting to grow his chip lead over Daniel Negreanu after scooping a large early pot.
Daniel Negreanu opened for 1,500. Rabichow quickly called.
The flop came . The two went check-check.
Following a on the turn and a Rabichow check, Negreanu's bet for 1,500 was met with a 6,200 three-bet. After some deliberation, Negreanu called.
The came on the river and Rabichow went for another large bet, this time for 12,600. Negreanu went into the tank for about 90 seconds before finding a fold.
