Hands 172-174: Markholt Closing the Gap

Level 29 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Hand #172: Lindgren raised his button to 120,000, but mucked when Markholt upped it to 320,000.

Hand #173: Markholt limped in and Lindgren checked his option, bringing a {7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} flop on board. After Lindgren checked, Markholt bet 110,000, and Lindgren flatted to see the {8-Spades} fall on the turn. Lindgren checked a second time, and Markholt continued to fire away, this time for 320,000. The man known as "E-Dog" studied the board for thirty seconds, before plunking a stack in to make the call. On the {5-Spades} river, Lindgren checked one more time, and Markholt obliged with a bet of 565,000. Lindgren assessed the size of his own stack for a moment, but released his hand with a rueful grin on his face.

Hand #174: Lindgren opened for the standard min-raise to 120,000, and Markholt tossed out a call. On the {7-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop, Markholt tapped the table, prompting Lindgren to fire 150,000 into the middle. That was all it took to take the pot down.
