Montalto All In Dominated But Survives With Chop

Kenneth Damm raised to 60,000 from the button, Sam Khouiss folded his small blind before Vito Montalto moved all in for 133,000 from the big blind. Damm made the call.

Damm: {A-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
Montalto: {A-Hearts}{7-Spades}

As Khouiss commented that he folded {K-?}{Q-?} the board landed {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and both players chop up the pot!

Vito Montalto Eliminated in 3rd Place ($13,563)

Kenneth Damm raised to 60,000 from the button, Sam Khouiss folded the small blind before Vito Montalto moved all in from the big blind. Damm snap-called.

Damm: {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}
Montalto: {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}

Needing some help to survive, the flop provided some interest but the {8-Hearts}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} board missed Montalto and he is sent to the exit in 3rd place for $13,563 in prize money.

We're now heads up for the trophy!

Khouiss Chipping Up

Kenneth Damm opened with a raise to 50,000 from the button and Sam Khouiss popped it up to 120,000 from the big blind. Damm folded flashing the {A-Spades} as Khouiss cringed at a missed opportunity for a double up as he revealed {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}.

Khouiss Hits Runners To Claim Chip Lead

Sam Khouiss completed from the small blind and Kenneth Damm checked his option in the big blind.

They saw a flop of {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{3-Hearts} where Khouiss led out for 30,000. Damm made the call. The turn landed the {Q-Spades} and both players checked. The river was the {9-Diamonds} and Khouiss fired again, this time for 60,000. Damm thought for a moment before making the call.

Khouiss tabled {Q-Hearts}{9-Spades} for running two pair, as Damm could only muster one pair with his {A-Clubs}{2-Spades}.

With this hand Khouiss has now taken the chip lead with 630,000 to Damm's 570,000.

Damm Gets One Back

Sam Khouiss completed from the small blind once again before Kenneth Damm raised it to 90,000. Khouiss made the call and they went to a flop of {4-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs}. Khouiss checked to Damm who moved all in. Khouiss folded and Damm collects the pot.

Khouiss Turns Two Pair

In another limped pot, the two players saw a flop of {5-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} where Sam Khouiss check-called the 30,000 chip bet from Kenneth Damm.

The turn {3-Clubs} and river {2-Hearts} were checked down as Damm tabled {2-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} for a missed flush draw with bottom pair, as Khouiss collects the pot with {3-Diamonds}{5-Spades} for two pair.

Damm Not Flushed Just Yet

Kenneth Damm raised to 80,000 from the button and Sam Khouiss defended his big blind.

They went to the flop of {5-Spades}{J-Spades}{8-Spades} where both players checked. The turn was another spade with the {3-Spades} putting a four-card flush on board. Khouiss led out for 50,000 and Damm made the call.

The river was the {9-Diamonds} and both players slowed down and checked.

Interestingly neither player couldn't produce a spade with Damm's {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts} good to collect the pot as Khouiss mucked.

Damm now sits with a 700,000 to 500,000 chip advantage over Khouiss.
